April 2024 Progress Report!

Another dang month over! Hot dog!

Karen and I went to the renaissance fair so I included those photos in this post, because why not? Almost all of the clothing I am wearing is from Karen. I wanted to go as "farmer who is bad at farming because he spends all of his day composing terrible poetry on a hill."

WHAT'S NEW ON PATREON?

More posts this month, and the first video of the album project! What a weird one to complete first. But I guess the rest will be odd, too.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON?

Finished up the first song/video of the album project with froghorn.exe, and I've been hard at work on the rest of them. Actually, that's wrong. I've been normal at work on the rest of them, and I've been hard at work on a bunch that I didn't have at the beginning of this month. Check the list:

Last month, I had 15 on there, and now I have 20! And three of those five additions are the ones that I ended up working the most on. Let's focus on JAUNTY and *BOO!*

JAUNTY was originally going to be an animated video, with help from one of my fave indie animation teams in the game! But after talking to them, we came up with an even BETTER idea for an animated song video, so I made *BOO!*

Now, JAUNTY has turned into a live-action video, complete with a very important prop that I've been making this past week. It's a pair of pants, and here's an in-progress shot:

I'm hoping to film this one in the coming week, since I have the pants all done now. Don't worry, they look even wilder now that they're complete.

And I'm trying to squeeze in one more completely new song video this weekend (*husky voice*) because I'll be out in the desert and you know I can't pass up an opportunity to film in the desert.

Will all of these 20 ideas come out every two weeks until March 2025? Almost certainly not! And many of them aren't even part of this album project (like *tyme wyrm*), but this spreadsheet has become more of an idea log, and it's been nice for me to keep coming up with new stuff.

In the last Progress Report, I said I wanted to have one video done (CHECK!) and three videos 90% there (I have five videos between 50-75% there), so I'm pretty happy with my progress this month!

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NEXT?

Next month is gonna be a bit of a doozy! I'll be working on:

• these videos

• a writing thing with Karen for one of our optioned projects

• another writing thing with Karen for NDA

• a bunch of prep for more Dropout stuff

• celebrating Karen's birthday

Okay that last one isn't a work thing but I wanted to include it anyway.

But the rest is all true! It's four different part time jobs all rolled into one. In this weird industry, you have to take the jobs as they appear, and sometimes they all smack you in the same month. But with Karen's help, I'm sure we can handle all of these! Except for the last one. I need to do stuff for that on my own or I'm a bad partner.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Karen and I beat Time Crisis 2. Turns out that in order to beat an arcade game, you don't just need talent, you also need about 23 tokens.
