Pixieinktvis goes BeneDoesArt - Patreon Soft-Relaunch!

Hey everyone! 

If you, by any chance, spent any time on my Patreon page today you might have seen some things that weirdly changed!

First of all, it's me, Pixie but as many of you know I'm trying to move away from that moniker. In this post I want to update you on a few things that will and have to change, so I hope you stay around for the ride. I'm trying to make it short! So let's get to it.

⚜ Why do you want to rename from Pixie and where does Bene come from?

The main reason is that I don't identify with Pixie anymore. There is nothing fairy or pixie themed that's part of my art, and it just kinda feels like I grew out of it! Bene is a part of my real name, and I myself will always be part of my own art, so it felt like a fitting change.

Since I am trying to separate my content - NSFW from SFW - I will now run with Bene for all my content! I haven't renamed my Ko-fi or my Pixieinktvis Twitter account, but it's only a matter of time until I will get to it!

⚜ What will change about Patreon?

Quite a bit! Many of you know I outsourced a lot of my content & commissions to Ko-fi. This is a marriage born out of convenience, as Ko-fi has a lot of tools that allow me to do some amazing things, and I'm super happy with the growth I had on that platform! When I made the decision to run both platforms I was in a very different space, personally and mentally than I am now, so I let both platforms run simultaneously, but it didn't make me 100% happy.

Now I want to use Patreon for NSFW content exclusively. 

⚜ Here is what stays the same:

• If you are in the merchandise or sketch request tiers everything stays the same for you. You will continue to get your rewards as usual. If you want to switch those memberships over to Ko-fi, I'd be honored to have you there instead! 
• Discord will stay a (mostly) sfw space, and everyone who joins on Patreon will get invited. You will still see the same stuff there and share in the fun community we've built together! 
• On Discord you will continue to see all my other art, including my 90's artworks, fanart, sketches, etc.

⚜ What will change: 

• I unpublished all old tiers, so nobody can join there anymore.
• I changed the €1 and €5 tiers to reflect the new reward structure, which will see 1 Illustration per month. Theme and character will be voted by the community, and each illustration will have NSFW/Pin-Up variants.
• The release schedule is as follows:

Community Poll for next term theme: 15th of the month
Community poll for the next character: 20th of the month
(each poll lasts for 3 days)

Character illustration post time: 10th-15th of the following month


Current term: 01 - JUL 22

All term rewards will be taken down at the end of the month and send to patrons subscribed during the terms period via Patreon DM at the beginning of the following month.

⚜ If I am already subscribed in a past, higher tier, will I still get the new rewards of the current terms?

• No, the rewards will only be distributed to the people in the tiers that are currently active, which are the €1 and €5  tiers. Should new tiers get introduced I will post updates accordingly.

⚜ I am not interested in NSFW rewards, what should I do?

• I fully understand, and I would never expect anyone to suffer through content they don't enjoy. If you want to continue supporting me, but NSFW content is not your thing, please check out my Ko-fi! 
• Otherwise, I fully understand if we have to part ways at this point in time, and I thank you for all you've done for me! 

⚜ Does this change mean I can request NSFW content for the monthly sketch requests and that you take NSFW commissions?

• The sketch requests will stay strictly SFW, no exceptions.
• As for commissions, if and when I have news on commissions, I will inform you when the time comes. I won't rule it out, but I also haven't started making NSFW commission plans!

I hope this covers mostly what I need to tell you. I hope you're looking forward to this new development. I for one am very excited, and I am looking forward to finding new inspirations in new ventures. This change of pace and content is duely needed, the fresh wind already feels amazing!
