Update Post August 3rd, 2025 (Patreon Appreciation Month 2025!!)

Hello Patrons, it's that special time of year once again: Patreon Appreciation Month!!

This month marks the 10 year anniversary of the GaMetal Patreon campaign that would go on to allow me to make a full-time living making GaMetal remixes for you all and the rest of the world. I'm always afraid of sounding a bit repetitive, but I must reiterate time and time again how grateful I am for you all here. GaMetal's success is thanks in large part to contributors like you, so thank you all so much yet again for your love and support, I couldn't have done this without you all!

I went over the to-do list and general updates just a few days ago (which you can read up on here if needed), so today we'll only be focusing on Patreon Appreciation Month.

For those new around here: every August we celebrate the anniversary of the GaMetal Patreon with a few extra Patron influenced events. For starters, rather than choosing 1 song during our monthly Patreon stream and me handpicking the second, I'll instead be opting out of my handpick (to remove any personal bias) and we'll be choosing three songs from the Patreon Request list during the monthly stream. On top of that, we'll be choosing songs for two new medleys, in which all Patrons are eligible to submit songs!

To start, our next console medley will be....

...a Nintendo 3DS Medley! After the success of last year's DS Medley, I felt we could do a sort of "sequel" and move on to the DS's next iteration.

And for our second medley, we're going to do something a bit different... many of you have asked about it over time, so after nearly 9 years, we're going to do another Series Medley!

I spent a few weeks racking my brain of what would be a good series to cover in medley form, and decided on one that I think would be perfect for current times:

We will be putting together a Mario Kart Track Medley! This medley will be comprised of track themes from across the Mario Kart series.

You can make your medley submissions over on this form. More specific submission requirements (IE: 3DS songs must be from 3DS exclusive games, etc) are detailed on the form, be sure to read up on them!

This form can be edited after you make your submission, in case you have any changes of heart between now and the Patreon stream. It will remain open until the morning of the stream.

On that note: this month's Patreon stream will take place a little later than usual (which we normally do in August to give you all some more time to make medley submissions). This month's stream will take place on August 10th, starting around 4:00 PM US Eastern Time.
