For $500 goal, which miniseries on Polish history should I undertake?

Once we reach the $500 p/m goal, I'll tackle a miniseries on Polish history to celebrate. I need your help to choose the period of Polish history I should delve into - which century should I base my coverage on?

Oh absolutely Holly! Background is one of my favourite parts of a story so I'll make sure to include a neat introduction to it all. I too have worked with many Poles, and they always worked harder than me!

Can you stick in a bit of background on how the whole Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth came to be and got so huge before the partitions? I work with both a native Pole and a native Lithuanian and neither could give me any background other than arguing over of the dual states was really running the show.

Well I've ordered the books - no going back now history friends! I'm secretly rooting for the 18th century by the way, I find it absolutely fascinating!

Jealous! The last time I was in Poland was for a wedding in 2010. Let's just say I've not looked at vodka the same way since!

Touring Poland this fall! Plus biking the Baltic states!

Robbie Monsma

A series on Józef Piłsudski. What a guy.

Oh sure, the 3 eagles had an absolute blast seizing all that Polish clay

The partitions are not so much failure, but success for the other 3 powers (okay maybe failure for the Polish peoples, but not the aristocrats)

So much goes on everything from the war of the Polish succession to the Polish partitions!

Having just listened to Mike Duncan on the French Revolution, I'd be very interested in the 18th century indeed.
