Cosplay tip: Belt hack

or just any character with belt detailing, tons of characters have them. With the characters I cosplay I am always using TONS and tons of belts. After making so many I started to look for another way to make it easier on me, that way I do not need to keep making them.
Well, my secret to belts is Attack on Titan. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GHH13QA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yes, this isn't a crafting method, just my own personal way I found around making belts lol. I do this FOR ALL my Square Enix cosplays at this point lol. For $30 and prime shipping with amazon, it really cannot be beat, especially for the amount of material you get from it.

Heres how it looks when it arrive, the best part is the stitching on the belts is not that great, so they can easily be ripped apart but please be careful when doing so, these are still thin belts and can be ripped themselves, you only want to tear the stitching.

And once you are done you have plenty of material for you next project!

The belts can also be LIGHTLY heated on the other side of the belt to make them smooth out a little, you can do this on a low heat with an iron with some parchment paper inbetween the iron and belt.
The belts can also be dyed/stained with leather dye! Something I do quite often to them cause I rarely need brown belts, I also sometimes add grommets to the belt holes, standard grommets are the perfect size for them!

This isn't really a tutorial lol, just more of a way to help you through and make parts of your cosplay adventure a little easier.
