Cosplay hacks/storage help! Storing your supplies.
Added 2020-01-16 06:24:06 +0000 UTCHey guys, this isn't really a tutorial so much as a helper post to show you guys how I organize my stuff and maybe it will help you out with your own crafting storage!

So one of my favorite storage devices are these hanging door shoe holders, I use them for wigs and they are life savers when it comes to storing my stuff (you can get them here). Thing is, they leave a bit of space at the bottom and I wish they were longer...so what I do is, I buy another and just combine them!

I segment them into rows of two and just sew the ends of the cut off a piece to the full piece organizer and BAM more rows for storage.

With the leftover pieces I take them and use them as storage for other crafting supplies around the room!

They're super handy and you can hang them wherever you want really!

I also highly suggest getting a thread holder they're just rather handy and keep your thread organized, this isn't some secret just a tip I suggest lol.

I also use a variety of storage bins for EVERYTHING. Trim, buttons, buckles, fabric, etc. It just helps everything stay where it should be and makes everything look...less of a mess than it could lol.

I couldn't find the exact tiny drawer ones I have but these ones work too!

This is more for wig transportation but if you're flying and have a heavy styled wig, use build a bear boxes to store your wig in! It has a handle for easy travel and you can carry them on as your personal item.

And lastly, what I use to style wigs! I made this stand from and old rockband stand and a PVC pipe crudely tapped together lol but what you can do is get a microphone stand and do place your wig on the end of the pole! Use tape at the very end and loop it around till it is at the thickness you want so the wig head stays put!
I hope any of these tips help you guys!
