Update Post! February 3rd

Hey Patrons!

It feels like New Years Day came, I blinked, and now it's February. I managed to get 3 songs done in January (4 if you want to include Zero Two ft. Edobean), but now it's really time to get down to business.

Upcoming Songs

I'm hoping to get 5 songs done this month (pledge limit check reminder!), which will take the to-do list down to only 2 songs (plus the 2 from this month's drawing and handpick). 

The exact order will be decided as I get things worked on and completed, but for now, the current to-do list is looking like:

• Feb: Those Who Stand Against Our Path (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
• Feb: Battle of Award 42 (A Hat in Time) Ft. ???

• Feb/March: K. Rool Duel (Donkey Kong 64)
• 2020: Side-Quests Volume 3 (Song list at bottom of PRL) 

The next Patreon Request List Drawing Stream will be taking place at our usual day and time: February 5th, starting around 3:00 PM US Central Time. The Patreon Request List will be updated tomorrow afternoon, request list tier Patrons still have till Wendesday before the stream begins (the sooner the better) to add or update their lists.

GaMetal 2020 Song Ballot

We're a little over a week into the 2020 Song Ballot, and the entries are looking very interesting so far! There is one fairly strong leader at #1 (which may or may not be what you expect!), but after that, the results are looking very mixed. It's looking like very few of the top 10 (well, top 13, as there was a 4 way tie for the #10 spot) from last year that didn't get completed will return this year, but in regards to all of that, there is still a lot of time left for things to change. 

I've also made an important executive decision: the top 3 songs from the ballot will automatically be put on the to-do list for the year. That way, request list Patrons won't have to worry about putting them on their lists when I'd likely just be doing them any way.

We still have 3 weeks left till the ballot closes, which is on February 24th (that night, right before midnight and the 25th comes my time (CST), for those wondering). I will be doing a Patron-Exclusive 2020 Ballot Results Stream the following day, starting around 3:00 PM US Central Time. We'll take a listen to the top 10 songs from the ballot, as well as other popular requests, such as most popular songs from each highly requested series (assuming they don't actually get a song in the top 10).

If you didn't fill out a ballot entry, you still have 3 weeks to do so here! Just a reminder that this open to everybody, Patron and non-Patron, even if you're on the request list tier. 

Mighty Fight Federation

My last note of today is more of a fun one. If you're not a Twitter follower of mine or a part of the GaMetal Discord, you likely haven't seen this, but I've had the honor of recording some guitar tracks for Sonic Mania composer Tee Lopes for an upcoming indie game called Mighty Fight Federation! The developers have been doing a bit of a song-a-thon on their Twitter page to countdown to the beginning of their early access release, and a couple of the songs I'm featured on have been released: Swole 4 Souls (Theme of Heckbane) and Samba De Remi (Theme of Remi Redcard). There are two others I'm featured on that haven't been released yet, I'm not sure if they'll be released during the song-a-thon or not, but you can keep an eye on our Twitter pages for when they drop!
