Comments
personally disagree with your comments on le sserafim (which does not mean your opinion is wrong obviously, just that mine is different haha) - I really think their discography and messaging has remained authentic and meaningful throughout (the only sort of outlier I see with that personally is perfect night). their narrative has changed since the unforgiven era, I do agree with that, but imo that is actually somewhat BECAUSE they stayed so true to their heart and meaningful, they have gone through so much (some of the worst and diabolical hate I have personally seen, so bad in fact that all the members had their instagram comments turned off for close to a year) and their fearless/antifragile narrative has evolved to a we-are-strong-although-we-are-burnt narrative (just look at the lyrics from hot, ash, and even spagetti) I feel like their first trilogy just remains so iconic (and I agree that their first year's award stages were insane and some of their best) and they were in their "peak era" but I think that is mostly because that was when they were the most universally liked and popular I also think that many of their stages still "say a lot"/"have a lot to say"; their crazy and spagetti stages usually read very "stay true to yourself no matter what others say" (which is very close to their experience in the last 2ish years) and I also appreciate that they platform queer voices given that they take from that culture in those songs, their hot stages read as melancholic and sometimes sad yet resilient and beautifully strong in its fragility again, this is just my take on it and you probably won't read it because it is a pretty long comment on a video that is a month old lol, but I wanted to add my opinion into the mix anyways :)

2026-02-07 09:04:02 +0000 UTCI agree with your take on Jennie's stage and also the GDA in general, I loved her opening with Filter but Damn Right kinda changed the mood too much for an award show. Still a great stage though. GDA was really just ok this time around, apart from IVE no stage really left a lasting impression on me or I would consider as the artists best stage from this award show season. And mind you, you were lucky to watch just the performances, I watched it live for like FIVE HOURS because they kept on rambling and rambling between each performance and award presentation, it was really tiring to watch the live show lol. My favourite shows from this season were MMA & AAA and from the festivals I loved both the Gayo Daejeon and Gayo Daejejeon.

2026-02-05 16:07:20 +0000 UTCi think the issue with le sserafim’s first and a bit of second year is that they wouldn’t sing live so those stages were soooo good performance wise and after all the hate they received i know they’re terrified to not perform with live vocals so performance/dance wise it’s definitely not as heavy since they have to still sing. i do gotta say the hot remix and them running around and the bike moment was soo underwhelming. this has to be one of my least fav performances of theirs.

2026-02-04 14:21:31 +0000 UTCGawon in ADP would have been wild as fuck. But I think the idea with ADP is making them intentionally not perfect to let them grow, whereas with MEOVV they aimed on the most common plan to have a perfect team right at the beginning, so having Annie there would not have worked + I don’t think she was ever considered to debut with MEOVV. Those photos from their trainee days were simply them meeting in the training room and not like as if they were placed in the same pre-debut formation. I was thinking about it the other way round. What if Bailey debuted with MEOVV?? I am not sure if as their sixth member of instead of Anna, but in both cases the group would have been unstoppable

2026-02-03 23:12:28 +0000 UTCI don't think SKZ's concept was they partied their asses off, I think it was their goal to do so and pass out because of muscle failure lol
