Helping in any way I can! (Patreon Fee Update Part 2)

Hey again Patrons!

If you didn't catch my update to the first post I made about the fee update, it turns out I was initially mistaken in how the new fee system works. It turns out it's charging the 35 cent + 2.9% for each paid post, which honestly is really stupid. I was under the impression the 35c fee wouldn't be charged more than once, but apparently that's not the case.

Both creators and Patrons are very upset about this right now, and we're doing all we can to make sure our feedback about this is heard. While I don't expect Patreon to scrap this idea completely, I believe the most viable thing to ask for are fairer adjustments (especially for those on lower tiers, who are impacted by this the most), or alternatives (such as having an option for the creator to pay the fee like we do now, which I totally don't mind doing, and would rather do).

Patreon is planning to roll out this update on December 18th, so no paid posts before then will incur this fee. 

If Patreon does NOT make any realistically positive adjustments to this plan, I will be lowering the $3, $5, and $7 reward tiers down by 35 cents, to $2.65, $4.65, and $6.65. I am willing to take a small pay cut to help out those on the lower tiers as best as I can, by absorbing the 35 cent fee myself.

Unfortunately, I can't lower the $1 pledge any further, or I would. For those on this tier and other tiers, I highly encourage you, as I always have, to adjust your monthly limits on the Your Pledges page as needed. If you'd rather only pledge once or twice a month, I completely and totally understand. 

If this is all still too much for you, and you must leave as a couple of others already have, again I completely and totally understand. I'm not going to guilt trip anyone into doing anything outside of their financial realm of possibility, as I know how that can be far too well. Take care of your finances first, Patreon should always be something you do only if you can afford to, and more importantly, want to!

I wish there were more I can do, but this is the best plan of action I can currently come up with. All of you I've spoken to on Discord about this change, so far, have been very encouraging and positive, and I can't thank you all enough for being such amazing people. But this has still been bothering the hell out of me, so I want to do what I can to help.

I'll be keeping an eye out for any news posts from Patreon regarding this change, if any major changes occur I'll be posting an update about it, and whatever plans I may make to combat it, here.

I can't thank you enough for standing by not only myself, but any other creators you support, throughout this change, and once more I'll say that I totally understand if you must make any changes to your pledges! We (both creators and Patrons from all levels) are doing all we can to make our voice heard at the moment, so hopefully we can at least encourage Patreon to come up with a better system.

TL;DR: I'll be moving the $3, $5, and $7 reward tiers down .35 cents to $2.65, $4.65, and $6.65 if no adjustments are made to Patreon's current fee plan by December 18th, to absorb the .35 cent fee for these tiers.
