This show was not that popular or had the privilege of big name branding like an MNet/CJENM project. So I feel like in the early show stages you're gonna get a lot of casuals and randos in the audience who vote for whoever is hottest or cutest.

OKAY SO! Finally finished watching the reaction so I can rant my thoughts about the trade system. I wanna say, first off - I actually *do* like the idea of trades. It fits the show concept and shakes thing up in interesting ways. As I mentioned earlier, I do believe there was a hidden show rule for the directors not to steal another team's MVP (or maybe top 2 or 3 players). It never made sense to me why they didn't just take someone's top player unless they were told not to. HOWEVER, I think they should've workshopped the system a little more because the way they made trades work is flawed. PD, I know you've now watched everything except the finale so you will understand this: being 3rd place disadvantages you so much that you can basically never catch up. You get absolutely WRECKED. One, THERE ARE TOO MANY GODDAMN YELLOW CARDS FOR 3RD PLACE. 6 is ridiculously devastating. I think giving 2nd place 2 yellow cards and 3rd place 4 cards is completely reasonable. Two, TRADES ARE SO UNEVEN. Here's a better idea - you can only trade players on the same level. So if you want to steal someone's starter, you have to give up a starter yourself. And a bench for a bench, etc. I know the teams get reshuffled based on the ranks of the new trades, so thank god for that at least. Besides live audience voters being stupid and shallow (Team Beat Mamma Mia was fucking ROBBED), this has always been my biggest gripe with the show, that I otherwise love greatly.

2025-11-25 17:01:45 +0000 UTCJUSTICE FOR JOOHYOUNG!! seriously he deserves so much better... he lowkey carried the geuriweohada stage... i thought maybe he might rank low in the starting lineup but 11th in bench??!! is ridiculous... his skills are one of the best in the entire show and hes an incredible all rounder so it was sooo frustrating for me to see him benched... ugh... i always thought the trade system couldve been crazier too bc like hanseo is rly good and every other recruit was pretty good but i was lowkey underwhelmed that they didnt take the big names/director favs from any teams apart from chihen, like woongki or juwon maybe or if they really cant take an mvp, i expected JL at least?? like hellooo 3-pick? and everyone fought for him so i expected a bigger flip or upturn in the lineups so i was reallyyy shocked like woah man it was fun but couldve gone crazier lowkey???

2025-11-24 23:20:39 +0000 UTCbtw they didnt say but Gijoong also debuted before, he first debuted on IM with Hangyul from BAE173/X1 then they went on The Unit and he debuted on UnB there, after the group ended he was also supposed to redebut with hangyul on the new mbk group which later turned out to be BAE but he basically got cut from the lineup and thrown back in mbk's basement until he finally got out from that shit hole company and started chasing his dream to debut again through wild idol and later universe league throwing out his whole back story here because i love him and i think hes so talented (i was a HUGE the unit and UnB fan) it really saddens me that he spent so many years in a shitty label that didnt make good use of him and now hes just out here trying everything he can to still chase his idol dream

TFN's debut song 'Asurabalbalta' was actually pretty good but they kind of petered out and then changed their name and being under MLD is not good either as we know from what happened with MOMOLAND. Something not mentioned in the show is that Kim Gijoong was actually part of UNB from years ago
