2025-10-16 23:35:01 +0000 UTCI'd like to add that even if we skip the Japanese albums, when it comes to the members’ solos, there’s still Minho’s Chase debut EP! (And a bunch of Taemin albums that may or may not have been explored — I’m not sure?) I’m really excited about SHINee’s discography deep dive, but I hope PD circles back someday to finish up the solo loose ends. And yeah, I totally second including SHINee’s Japanese discography — it’s often overlooked and, in my opinion, highly underrated. Jonghyun also has a bunch of singles, stand-alone tracks, and OSTs: Inspiration, Your Voice, Young & Rich (officially unreleased, but the VCR is circulating on YouTube and is so much fun), Aewol, It Must Be Autumn, Beautiful Lady, So Goodbye, She, One Out of 100, and Named with Taemin (probably my favorite). Plus, the Only the Words That I Love You remake. There’s also the SM The Ballad songs with Jonghyun — Miss You, Hot Times, Breath, and A Day Without You — as well as his features on IU’s Gloomy Clock and Uhm Jung Hwa’s Oh Yeah. Key has some OSTs too — Bravo with Leeteuk, Cool with Doyoung, and Key of Secret. He also released an EP and a few MVs under the Toheart unit with Infinite’s Woohyun, and has done collabs/features with TraxX, Axodus, SNSD, EXO-K, and Years & Years. As for group OSTs, there’s also Countdown, Fly High, and Haru. Lastly, not OSTs but other songs/collabs include Seaside (Boom Boom), Scar, Last Christmas (cover/remake), and f(x)’s Lollipop featuring SHINee. Basically, there are too many songs to list them all SHINee has a lot of music! :D

I don't know if it's because most of the songs' melody are really my taste or whatever reason, but I feel like this album is really my vibe. I have most of his physical album except op.2, and this album is the one that I choose to bring with me on my road trip the most. And I can't wait for your SHINee discography next! I don't know if you gonna listen to their albums in chronological order or not, but I really want to reccommend you to listen to their japanese discography too! some songs that originally japanese even have korean version! (and vice versa for all the korean title tracks, except ‘Tell me what to do’ that's their last korean title track as five members) and the members even have their solo japanese singles/albums! (I think except Jjong, they're all have at least one solo song) Oh, and someone already told you that Jjong has some special song in his physical album only too. so if you have time, I really reccommend you to listen to them. just add extra Jjong's solo songs for you LOL. I don't know if you're interesting in OSTs listening or not. but if you are, Jinki and Taemin have some of their extra OSTs solo for you to listening to them too. I'm actually babywol just like you so I only know about these two, I'm not sure about Key and Minho if they have any. AND I know two songs that are OST that they sang as a group, one is Stand by me (and I'm sure you already know this one, Jinki even sang this song on Sea of Hope lol.), the other one is Green Rain.

2025-10-16 08:36:23 +0000 UTCOh I just remembered, I actually have the physical Poet Artist album, I regretted not getting it when the album was first released posthumously. I've always wanted to get my hands on a Jonghyun album, but they're quite hard to get a hold of since SM doesn't reproduce them anymore, not to mention the resellers are so expensive especially for his older albums :') Earlier this year, I suddenly had an irrational fear of never owning a Jonghyun album lmaoo. So I went online and was able to find the Poet Artist album luckily. It arrived on valentines day so it was the perfect gift to myself :)

2025-10-16 00:31:32 +0000 UTCWatching all your reactions to Jonghyun's music reminded me of why I have always loved him as an artist so much and allowed me a moment to just sit with his music again and really break it all down. He really was brilliantly creative--even while battling depression for so long. As an artist myself who also lives with it, I find it hard to maintain creativity a lot of the time. But he must've really lived and breathed music. Even beyond his music, I always admired how outspoken he was and his sensitivity and just his overall awareness to the world around him. He was such a thoughtful and introspective person, who constantly used his platform to have genuine conversations and bring awareness to issues that most people would look the other way about. I'll never not miss him or be able to stop wondering "what if". The world really lost an amazing individual. If there's ever a moment where you want to hear more from him again, while not music related, I highly recommend checking out some episodes of Blue Night or even checking out the book he wrote called '산하엽 (흘러간, 놓아준 것들)'.

I know the K-Pop scene's standards would be even higher than what it is now with a lyricist like him at play. And ain't the country of South Korea gonna have that population crisis it's having rn IF YA KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING.

And sometimes I always wonder what type of artist he would be today if he were still with us :( My fav album has to be his she is album just because its sooooo fun. But my top songs gotta be (no particular order) Mono-Drama, Like You, Suit Up, Elevator, and Take the dive. I think thats one from each album! And special mention to the ost he did with taemin cause its sooooo funn (beautiful lady!)

Also love it cause my fav color combo is orange and white lol. I’m not expecting a reaction or anything but Jonghyun has a single that I believe he wrote and intended for NCT around 7th sense era but ended up keeping for himself called “Inspiration” I’d recommend giving it a listen cause it’s a pretty different sound for him!! This is a journey I’m so glad you got to go on and see their individual colors!! I loved hearing your thoughts!! I’m very excited to see how the group reactions will go! You’ve got so much great material to go through, curious and super excited to see what you’ll start with!!
