2025-10-10 03:01:05 +0000 UTCI think the main problem of how Dream Academy was treated was the factor of it being so manipulative. The members feeling bad for being ranked by the public and all of that is not a wrong thing to let the girls go through… I mean… idol/public figure life is heavily based on this aspect, so in a way it is testing them in this regard too. Then the idea of them making preferences for the line up is also important to be able to see how their attitude is and how their mind work. So all in all Mitra just present it too much as a villain + they should have given them time to process it all and then let them choose to continue or to leave. This episode helped me a lot to understand Manon and although I still think she did not secured her spot in the group like Sophia, Lara, Daniela and Megan, I can see why they decided to choose her to bring her element into the group with the potential of her star quality growing along with her skills. And so… I am still not sold on Yoonchae… I do not know why… I can see them debuting five like that and I am curious if Yoonchae changes my mind by the very end. Like right now I would leave it as it is and if there was meant to be another member, it would be Yoonchae, Marquise or Emily, where Emily makes me even think that if they decided to add any sixth member, why didn’t they go for seven with Emily? I guess right now I think the line up of Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Megan and Manon works the best for me and I wonder what was the reason for the number six. Since they asked them to choose six members a few episodes back (or one episode back). Like it feels like they chose the number six for whatever reason and they needed one more member and if that was the case, well then let Emily join the group too…

At first i wasn't completely against showing the results of "who was picked to the most to be a member" because i believe that it give the producers and the true idea of who is not only skilled but also sociable and gets along well with others because i think those things are crucial for make a group. Its not about who's close with who, and i think Illiya feels that way and i really disagree there. But here's where i super disagree with the show too. Announcing all the results (the girls with 0 votes KNOW that nobody voted for them, the anonymity is gone, they broke the girls trust), rather just showing the top few girls votes, or better yet, just saying the names of the top few girls and not saying how many votes they got, so that they can't try and figure out using numbers. Same can be said about revealing who contestants thought would be eliminated. AND THE FREAKING ADMITTING THAT IT WAS FOR DRAMA while watching the girls get SO emotional makes me sick. I was looking for Lexie in the round 3 mission and now i completely understand why she didn't want to continue. Mitra trying to save face by saying they tried to do it in a respectful way is laughable, and then seeing her go back to enjoying it and talking about view count is disgusting. In trying to create a fanbase, she has become the fanbase's enemy. Also, bringing back contestants to talk about the current contestants? That achieved nothing than to through shade at Manon. Either explain why she has been missing properly or not bring it up at all. Idk how i feel about that. This survival show part keeps getting messier. But atleast we see Manon hold herself accountable in front of the girl and see them take it well.

2025-10-08 20:11:19 +0000 UTCLexie was going through a period of depression before she got accepted to join the program, and she saw it as an opportunity to finally get to live her dream and fix her problems, only for it to turn out the way it did. I think that's why she was especially upset with the games and bs. She placed a lot of hope onto it (more than it deserved and, honestly, could have ever realistically lived up to) then reality came crashing in. I'm glad it still ultimately led to her debuting soon, though. She was one of my favorites from the start.

They need exposure to get votes, and they need to monitor the engagement so they're likely reading every awful comment about them and, like they mentioned, they're comparing their stats to the other girls in real time. Just finished my 12 hours of physical exhaustion, now let's go to my second job, getting bullied online ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In high school, I loved my friends, but you couldn’t have paid me to do a group project with them 😭 Friendship isn’t the only criteria for picking a group, and I think a lot of the girls considered all the criteria seriously when giving their answers
