this battle is sooo good Shinsuke (inarizaki's leader) became my favorite character after Kenma at the end of this game and at the beginning i didnt really like the twins but they grew a lot in me with the episodes to come, this is really one of the best storywise and characterswise for me so i cant wait for you to see more

Having Karasuno be in their alternate uniforms facing off against Inarizaki, who are positioned like they are guarding the shrine (which is fitting because their rep. animal is a fox and "Inari" is a deity who uses foxes as guardians) paints this picture that Karasuno is the "challenger" in every regard here. Even though they're our protagonists, the imagery makes them look almost antagonistic. Almost as if they're the enemies ready to swarm the shrine and the path forward and it's Inarizaki's job to guard it as the favourites to win it all. It's so well done and I love that we can draw so much story from such a short clip. Also, I know you film these ahead of time so not much point in a heads up, but if you've noticed some of the animation looking kinda funky in the second half of this season, it's because those episodes were animated during the depths of the pandemic and they had to outsource a decent amount of it. I remember thinking it was a miracle that they were even able to release anything during that time

My absolute favourite group haha but I remember really disliking them for their cheer team in the beginning and also really not liking Atsumu 😂 But as I watched I really grew to love everyone and I’ve got a big soft spot for Atsumu now haha. I especially LOVE Kita (my GOAT their captain), and I started to love the team the more I saw of them, so I can’t wait for you to watch the rest of this match!! Also, if there’s one thing about Tanaka, it’s that he’s insanely loyal and unwavering in both his game focus and his genuine affection for Shimizu, it’s what I love most about him 😭💖 Goofiness aside he’s a sweet guy and if he was a real person I’d 100% fall for him lol I get you Kanoka!!

2025-09-20 21:54:09 +0000 UTCI just get reminded of the meme “fuck the Miya twins, all my homies hate the Miya twins” ☠️at first look for character design reading the manga I remember it was just already an oh no bc they have douchebag haircuts, but then it’s like ok I’ll give you benefit of the doubt, Kuroo looks scary but he’s a good guy albeit mischievous—then Atsumu was messing with Tobio at the training arc and I was like nopeeeee now you look and act like a jerk, the band thing pisses me tf off too! It reeks of a rich kid school that encourages students to have superiority complexes, i feel like the Miya twins’ character is like if Oikawa wasn’t punched by Iwaizumi during middle school—you’re highly skilled, consistently praised, highly intellectual, sharp tongued, and can wear a social mask if necessary, and if you aren’t checked with morals on that shit you start becoming a bit scary and belittling people, like Oikawa plays up being a pretty boy and likes being popular but he’s still straightforward to his rivals and wouldn’t actually stoop to duplicitous behavior; irl it’s a thing where when they’re still minors I give them benefit of the doubt for being shitty, but when people act like that as adults, alarms going off so hard like RUN
