Can you help?
Added 2021-05-20 08:40:53 +0000 UTCGuys can you please help with an advice? How can i seal the gas tube (metal) which was bringing gas to the fridge (fridge which was run by gas) which i took out to replace it with an electric fridge?
Can i use silicon and fill the tube with it? Or do i need a special cup? Or do i need to call in as specialist?

You need a matching compression fitting, then a brass or cast pipe cap or plug depending on the type of compression fitting you find. If you can remove the fitting the pipe went into from the stove you can use that, then a cap or plug on it depending on weather the other end is male or female thread. You can find everything you'll need at a hardware store for just a few dollars. (Euros) A quick soap bubble test and you're good.

2021-05-20 13:43:15 +0000 UTCHeey dear Leila, I guess, that from now on you only want to use the stove with gas? Please no silicone! Ideally I would disassemble as much of the pipe as possible. And either close it with a special cup directly at the divider or even better, lay a new pipe without any (or only brand new) joints from the gas bottle to the stove. Because the current pipes may be old and corroded inside or at the joints. In the end you can test if everything is tight/not leaking with soapy water and a brush (applied to the joints). If there is a leak, bubbles will appear. But honestly, I would invest for a test or assembling at the local gas specialist. Here in Germany we need to have a regular and official gas-test every few years. Gas can be really dangerous. Biiig huggies from your vanbuddy Stef!
