2025-09-07 11:44:42 +0000 UTCThis album fell flat for me, just doesn’t have the same character as the Loop or I Did releases 😗 Only White Cat and Soap were good songs on their own, the others I will probably never listen to unless I play the album from start to finish if that makes sense

2025-09-05 13:39:37 +0000 UTCYou nailed it. I think it’s always a problem when you have fans listen to an album and go “well there’s always next comeback” but WE HAVE TO MAKE MONEY THIS COMEBACK OR THERE MIGHT NOT BE A NEXT TIME!! So yeah, as much as I love hyperpop, and frankly her producer IOAH is incredible—even if this is exactly what Yves wants (which is doubtful) THEY have to step in and involve her thoughts and input. I felt like the I Did struck a nice balance but man they leaned too hard the other way this time!

2025-09-04 12:29:17 +0000 UTCI'm so happy to get this on my birthday! This whole album is such an experience, with all of the different sounds that come from each track, they're almost atmospheric in a way on their own. I do agree that it doesn't flow as well as her previous EPs, that it doesn't really hold enough Yves in it. It's an interesting direction to take it, but I hope she's able to move back to her own artistry. All I can say - she kills every era, no matter what she does

2025-09-04 05:59:33 +0000 UTCYep definitely nailing exactly the reaction I had, I love hyper pop but it’s a genre and I’m going to be staying for the artist themselves ; as an original Orbit I just have been hoping this is going how she wants, everything even prepping for her solo debut and posts she made were seeming like she’s working on stuff and to still not have any of it see the light of day is disappointing :/ I just also keep thinking at the end of the day Yves is an IDOL and an ARTIST and idk how she’s supposed to perform any of the rest of the album live? They’ve been getting by on her cinnamon crunch tour with the first two eps but I can’t hear her voice at all on this album, I’ve been watching the live performances and because the songs have been getting more hyper pop more experimental, since Loop she’s getting less and less expressive on stage, it’s great that she’s matching the tone of this monotone, conceptual song but it feels like she’s always holding back? With her solo career I wanted her to feel free and now it feels like all the color has been grayed in her voice and performance, not that everything is bad it’s still yves so she will put on a show but her voice on these songs are so filtered that it becomes different when performed live or it’s TOO HIGH so she can’t dance and sing it or the moves on stage are so simplified, i really love her lower register and these songs don’t support chest voice at all, i want to hear HER ; I love advant garde, conceptual songs but it’s getting so robotic that there is no GROOVE for her to dance or express herself in, Yves has always been full of a burning passion in her eyes and the way she performs and idk if this route is allowing her to grow vocally or dance-wise, she is a beast that could really change the game and she is the perfect jackpot of dance, vocals, visual, and star quality, why reduce her best abilities and put her in a box? I think at the very least there could be a better merging of artistic expression and idol performance, her voice has been sounding so thin I hope we can hear her voice strong loud and clear in the next comeback, or have a song where she’s able to have a variety of expressions in all aspects

2025-09-03 23:55:21 +0000 UTCYeah it’s like those Western DJs, when they release an album. Like one of my favorite albums is FUNK WAV BOUNCES VOL. 1 by Calvin Harris the Producer. He uses people like Frank Ocean, Ariana Grande, etc. and they sound AMAZING but they’re all just features and it’s so obviously Calvin’s vision. What’s weird is that most idols will sing songs and make it “sound” like it’s their true feelings even though they didn’t write or make the song. Yves’ music has so much more depth, is SO experimental—but it still has that “she is an idol doing what her company is making her do” and I feel very idkk about it! Cus it’s cool but also IOAH’s voice and color is so strong I can tell she’s speaking someone else’s vision and that’s cool for a group but that doesn’t make sense for a SOLOIST yknow??

2025-09-03 16:51:25 +0000 UTCoh yeah, i totally feel you and i have the same feelings, really love the album, but don't see how it wouldn't be just the exact same if it was release by anyone else

2025-09-03 16:44:30 +0000 UTCI 100% agree with your feeling of disconnect!!! What's really frustrating is that Yves is consistently talking about producing and writing. She even shared the lyrics she wrote for 'mom' but they were rejected. Before joining PPM she produced two amazing songs for Loossemble and said she had a whole album prepared. So she's clearly interested in producing. Soft Error is a great, unique, experimental album. But it's is basically Ioah's vision and creation. He is the artist. And Yves just gets to lend her (heavily edited) voice and put her face on the album cover. At least that's what it feels like... I really hope this chances in the next future and we actually get to hear and see Yves voice and ideas.
