After ‘Crush’ tho it started to lose its direction. ICE AGE was such a viral debut and one of the most original debuts ever? Only TOP MEDIA could flop talent like this

I think this might be a good thing though because voting so passionately for one trainee I desperately wanted to make it was... exhausting. I might be able to enjoy this one more if I stay less invested in exactly who has to make it.

2025-08-04 22:52:08 +0000 UTCAs we’ve learned from Girls Planet contestants and boys planet season 1, especially when it’s non Korean teams/individual non-repped trainees, they are shoved into groups and given a song by producers that they can’t pick maybe a few days ahead of time, some of the people had not met until two days before filming ☠️ (which idk why you would do that, it’s not doing the contestants or the show any good if the trainee auditions aren’t good? Why do you want them to fail, or force them to sing something not in their range?) can’t say anything about this season because I haven’t seen direct testimonials yet so hopefully it’s different, but many of these choices I’m like WHY? Some of these songs are not at all suitable to be competitive or show off anything, and if their home company made them go with get a better A&R team bc they don’t know their own idols’ strengths—I know production has a hand in suggesting or working with companies for discussing what they want to see I get it that it’s a SHOW but I don’t think boys II planet production team has shown any spectacular SENSE for getting something to go viral with a song choice besides how Mnet already packages and edits the video (since there are good performances that ranked well by masters and trainees that actually could have a good storyline that don’t get the light of day in the episode since production has already chosen which ones to follow on) we will get to it when it comes but I would be shocked if Yumeki’s personal choice, with no producer input, was his audition song; if he discloses after the show that it truly was then I will believe him and eat my words but right now it looks incredibly suspect; same with MCND, it’s a fun concert song with a crowd but for an audition?? It doesn’t show off anyone’s personal color and it’s not built to show off vocal or rap skill, we’ve known since Teen Top that TOP media has shenanigans but everything I see from them overworking MCND (members constantly getting sick, injured, mental health breaks while pushing them on a wack tour schedule) and to just run them into ground with no clear goal in sight WITH NO VISION FOR THEIR INDIVIDUALITY AND GROW THEM AS A GROUP OR MUSICALLY has been particularly disappointing to date, its a hard industry, there will be times they’re overworked I get it, but to this extent, and to do so with no effort into long term stability is quite clear no one is looking out for them, nor do they have a creative sense NECESSARY FOR AN ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY

2025-08-04 18:49:01 +0000 UTCI’m sure I will be one of many, but for due diligence—originally the show was advertised as two separate boy groups just one production in Korea and one in China, then for “reasons” Mnet put out that they changed the show to have them merge, this announcement is SO CLOSE to the airing date that it was crazy, and by then the primary auditions from the first episodes would have already been shot, according to the Planet C trainees, THEY WERE NOT TOLD ABOUT THIS CHANGE IN CONCEPT TO THE SHOW AND THAT THEY HAD TO LEARN AND TRAIN IN KOREAN UNTIL THEY WERE ALREADY IN THE SHOW, along with other unfair living/food conditions in comparison to planet K, it’s just appearing messy; people are speculating that Chinese entertainment companies pulled out of investment for the planet c debut group, or that production knew the whole time but decided to keep it hush to the contestants, I have no clarity but it feels like just internal legal issues to me that Mnet thought they could push through and took on too much for the sake of profit, from the jump it seemed like a logistical nightmare, we will probably never know the true answer though ; last tangent: it’s a complete mystery as to the sorting of contestants of other nationalities and ethenicties besides Chinese and Korean, some of the individual of planet C are not fluent in Chinese??? And not repped by a Chinese agency?? So why did production put them in planet C?? FEELS INSANE TO ME LIKE WHY DO THIS, it’s not like those contestants got a choice as we have come to learn from trainee testimonial, It’s so arbitrary and if it is a production error of not having enough cast on planet c side THATS A PRODUCTION MISTAKE WHY MAKE THE TRAINEES FIX IT FOR U

2025-08-04 18:13:04 +0000 UTCAvoiding the comment section and any internet videos about boys II planet ESPECIALLY SHORTS like the plague—I’ve learned from my mistakes of looking to see if people agreed with me on past survival shows, I get it, there’s just a lot of eyes on the show and more people mean more chances that people are just unhinged sometimes and I feel like everything is so in extremes of this thing is 1000% bad or good; glad to at least have Jaehyuk PD on this roller coaster 🫡 also how do we get an Mnet producer and editing team in a room to finally convince them that we don’t need the instructions or explanations to take up a quarter of a show, if the show needs to be multiple hours long then it needs to be new content (not repeat shots) and we can see more contestants; ik it’s been the same complaints since season 1 of produce 101 but im getting weary as i age ☠️ I can’t imagine someone watching the show with commercials LIVE ON CABLE it’s so egregious, idk how many more 4 hour finales I can watch

Geonwoo was a bully at his previous label and apologized for it (kinda means that the rumours are true, but not for sure) and they both are listed as individual trainees while they are confirmed to be under Wakeone.

The idea of making a japanese planet and a thai planet stuck in my head because these 4 countries are oversaturated in kpop these days so they should filter by these planets and then indeed go on to Boys III Planet in the future imo
