Just so you that one of members Youngseo that was in Illit that left before their debut is now in this group. The only other boy besides Tarzzan ( which he was in NewJeans video before debuting here ) he’s name is Woochan who was members of trainee a under HYBE . Annie first member you saw in opening is pre debut member of meovv but she didn’t debut with them instead here . She’s the granddaughter of Lee Myung Hee, the chairwoman of the Shinsegae (Samsung) Group. Bailey one that’s sang second has been choreographer already she has done songs for K/da, She co-choreographed music video ‘EMPIRE’ by Wengie and Minnie, Red Velvet’s “Psycho”, Taemin’s ‘IDEA’, SHINee’s ‘Don’t Call Me’, aespa’s ‘Savage’ and ‘Spicy’, Kai’s ’PEACHES’, TAEYANG’s ‘VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)’ . – She choreographed TAEYANG’s ‘Shoong! ft. Lisa’ and dance break for Lisa.

As someone, who appreciates co-ed group and, and as someone, who is a day 1 KARD fan, I have always hoped for the comeback of co-ed groups, because I love to deep dive into the first generation of Kpop (Koyote being my thing) and I always think: “God damn it! I wish I could be aware of Kpop back then!” And now the crucial thing with ALLDAY PROJECT. As much as I love KARD, they did not feel like “the group, who is changing the game” (basically they did their best to be able to stay on the scene and let people be aware of them, but it did not affect the scene). But with this group… these dudes make me feel like: “So… is this it? Are we bringing co-ed groups back again?” (Also HYBE Corpo is preparing their co-ed group too, I believe it is going to be under HYBE America, so more like “Katseye-ish co-ed group” rather than “the usual Korean market focused co-ed group”, but that could also help to change how people approach co-ed groups!) I started to pay attention The Black Label back in 2020, when it was still under YG, but I already started to think: “Huh… this does not seem like just “Teddy’s subsidiary of YG to let him do his side projects after he does his job for YG acts… let’s keep my eye on this thing” And here we are, Teddy going full-on “solo” with this label, debuting MEOVV and now this group! I will say it out loud… the concept and idea of The Big 3 will never die. But it may change soon! I mean, YG went through Burning Sun and other shit and SM had huge in house fights between “everybody”/Lee Soo Man and his gang VS the rest of the label and both labels are still highly relevant. But after the creation of HYBE Corpo., Kpop started to be more about Hybe Labels’ labels + The Big 3 with not that huge gap between them and smaller labels as it used to be. Plus the whole Kpop hype made it possible that even smaller labels can have highly popular groups like KQ Ent.’s ATEEZ or RBW’s MAMAMOO. And considering Teddy being the back bone of YG most of their history and him being able to make contacts and name in the business and Korea in general. I can imagine The Black Label being something like “the fifth label after HYBE Corpo and The Big 3” (I am way too used to saying The Big 3 + “The Big 4” does not make sense, since The Big 3 is similarly big to each other, where as HYBE is just way above the whole scene (since they are basically the fourth biggest music label in the world, behind Universal Music Group, Sony Music Group and Warner Music Group). Regarding the members… you searched for everything… I watched a part of their live stream celebrating the debut and they don’t feel like a group, which just debuted… There is something about them that is hard to describe. Probably all of them being known for something. Although I have to say Tarzzan is just a model, who made his name and imagine on loving The Tarzan movie, which is… okay… Also… Annie being in the pre-debut MEOVV formation is just a speculation based on photos taken together with Bailey and other MEOVV members and although I told you about that, when it was being speculated, now looking at it back it does not seem like she was cut from the debut line up and placed here, because this group was not formed recently, but they had trained together for some time. So since Annie had been in touch with The Black Label/Teddy a lot, she might have just taken the picture with the girls and Teddy just thought: “Hmm… let’s let this photo “leak” and make people talk…” Which is totally a Teddy thing to do… Regarding YoungSeo… she mentioned an interesting thing in their introduction video (each member had there like 2-3 minutes, https://youtu.be/iVDmfi79CMk?si=eV2GrOqVAtc9Qrv2) The way she phrases her words there is like: “I needed to get to be known to be able to debut elsewhere, which would be the place I actually want” But I don’t want to accuse her of that. So I assume she did not like the vision for Illit/she knew it was not her style, so she left and joined The Black Label for a project

ALL THREE OF THEM WILL BE AT KCON LA AND I WILL LOSE MY MIND

A little update, "Famous" has skyrocketed to #1 on Melon chart in Korea. It's a completely successful debut and big hit for Teddy and his company. I gotta say, no matter how debatable his music style is, the fact that he is able to produce three groups with distinct concept in a span of less than 1 year is amazing. Of course there is a common ground in their sound and music, but to me the vibe and sentiment brought by IZNA, MEOVV and Allday Project is totally different. Ah yes, we will be able to see all of three on the same stage of SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer in June 26th.
