I appreciate the choices to try to make their own creative decisions in the transition from animation studios, when the transitions of studios happen they rarely have the time necessary nor getting paid well so I appreciate them doing what they can. The original style is very iconic, and VERY PRETTY so it’s not like it got worse but it’s like oh they don’t have time for the water colors now and everyone’s lines are a bit thinner, it’s more sharp which vs the round of the original isnt bad at all but I think it’s very noticeable. glad they’re taking the time for a movie for the last haikyuu content and I don’t mind waiting bc I’d rather have the detail put in—I still highly recommend the manga bc of the time we get to spend with nekoma and fukurodani not just squished into an OVA ; PLUS, even the mangaka also goes through like a change in art style that you can see first off in Kageyama and Hinata but we got used to it (same mangaka but he wanted to make a purposeful shift, I’ve seen him make statements apologizing for his art in the beginning and I’m like SIR NONE OF THIS IS BAD WHATRE TALKING ABOUT)
