i loved how you worded it, this collab really does feel like something we've all been waiting a long time for, makes it extra special that its a lead up to marks solo

The live mcountdown live stage video even acknowledges it in the final seconds where the caption changes from "Mark Feat. Haechan" to "Mark with Haechan". Almost feels like SM is testing the waters with a mark and haechan subunit...? Well one can dream. But it's difficult to stay grounded about expectations when these two themselves reveal information like how Mark had always intended to feature Haechan in his first album, and had even written another song for him! But eventually they decided to go with a more performance-oriented song. Haechan then also drops details like how he wants to feature Mark as well in his solo debut. Anyway, just gotta say, Mark solo debut rollout has probably been the best out of all the NCT soloists so far. We've got a whole youtube channel posting vlogging style videos from Mark that tease and reference the album. The highlight medley posted not too long ago is what makes me HYPED for the upcoming release however. I'm predicting something real good.
