Idk why but despite them wanting to part from their old company due to seeking out one that aligns more with their musical vision, I so far have preferred what they’ve put out under their old company. They’ve been with that company for awhile that whatever they put out under them became their distinct sound, but I’m hearing it less and less now. Don’t ask me to describe their sound because I’m not sure how to, but they definitely do have one. Also, I miss songs like Reveal, but I doubt they’ll revisit that kind of concept and vibe 😭

2025-03-18 19:24:55 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched the mv it really felt like the combo of the song and the mv was like a combination of their more earlier up beat/fresher songs, its kinda giving like DDDs sister survival show signal song version, with like the concept of their darker stuff like watch it/roar/trigger 😭 its just soo good! And when I saw that the song is almost 4 minutes long in an era where songs keep getting shorter I made three jumps in the air bc WE NEED BRIDGES!!!!! The mv itself didnt make alot of sense to me haha but I honestly dont really mind that much bc the song itself is just too good 😂 also the album is truly a 10/10, full of long ass songs & in a more rnb-ish style

2025-03-18 17:49:55 +0000 UTCi so agree with you on songs this day and age not being long enough but tbz did it!! all the songs on the album are over 3 mins long AS IT SHOULD. in my honest opinion there’s too much going on in the music video so i didn’t enjoy it as much as the song itself so i’m absolutely listening to the song more than watching what’s going on in the mv. hoping to see you check the album out too!

I did like the music under IST but the company itself did NAWT pass the vibe check at all. Came out yesterday that there were songs scrapped because of... differences. With the company. So :-/ I know you mentioned whether tbz have more agency at this new company-- they absolutely do. Members wrote/composed like half of the songs on the albums and they have been really forthcoming for how much this album as a whole is THEM. And if this is their voice... I'm here for it. This was our last ot11 comeback for quite some time due to entering enlistment era, but they sure gave us something to love and treasure until the reunification of TBZ. Hoping we might see an album listen for Unexpected :) I think youll really love the bsides!

But yes the music video doesn't make sense to me either but I think this album was mostly created to put out an album with Sangyeon (he left for his military yesterday, the same day they release it) so it was rushed. But I can't wait for more comebacks going forward. Also I still think their Trigger album IS THE BEST album they've released yet. I highly recommend listening to it and also watching the performance video for Bite Back! Majority of the fandom could not even pick a fav song from that album because all of the tracks killed it.

2025-03-18 10:30:23 +0000 UTCi absolutely love this song!!! and this was said in another comment but the boyz have been a group where ive always liked their title tracks but a handful of times their b-sides dont land with me (and if they do i tend to make them a part of my personality for months on end) and let me tell you when i was listening this album today there was not one song that doesn’t live up to the album title “unexpected”. maybe its the new label but every song was so so good and a few even had my jaw on floor with the vocals and instrumentals (ain’t salty specifically). it was phenomenal and this label change really enhanced their sound in a way that took me by surprise. im excited to listen to your listening party when you get around to it!

2025-03-18 08:51:22 +0000 UTCThe boyz have always been a group where I've really loved some songs but not others but this track has had me hooked! And the bsides are actually amazing, I'm obsessed. Also in regards to your point of being unsure what VVV stands for - at 1.48 in the mv the words 'Veni, Vidi, Vici' are written on a screen, which of course means 'I came, I saw, I conquered' so I assume that's what it stands for (?). Either way a phrase that could relate to the mv or just the boyz in general. But something I only just realised!
