He is the main dancer and lead vocal in the group, a lot of parts you said you confused ryo and yushi, but yushi does have an amazing voice. And also in the lastart stages, yushi definitely is the most outstanding member, maybe just watch that, I think the concept now sm gave to yushi is to keep acing cute and adorable, but he fits more with exo style and superjunior style or even TVXQ style. As a people really love yushi, 100% recommend you to watch more about him.

Sion is definitely the best performer as his movements are the most eye catching and facial expressions are on point. Riku has the most charisma and his rap is really good. He doesn’t have much singing lines but when he does sing, his tone is unique and beautiful to hear. I think as you watch more videos, the more you’ll see how well rounded Yushi is. He’s the main dancer but also has stable live vocals and during Riku’s hiatus he covered most of Riku’s rap lines.

Both performance-wise but also in the dynamic that the group has outside of performing. It got so clear when he was on hiatus that something was missing, like that extra umph. He came back to activities during nct wish's first anniversary and it was like the room was lit up again, like som tension was blown off. Not like bad tension or anything like that but it was clear how the members had felt without his presence. Sion and Yushi as you said are the pillars of wish, their energy, stableness is mirrored in them. I think their long training period has really made an impact on the dynamics. But as you said, training is not everything you need, that charisma that riku has, cannot be trained!

Also, one way to distinguish them is by looking at their ears, as Sakuya has his ears pierced so he often wears earrings while Yushi doesn't have his pierced. I also couldn't agree more when you said that Riku has that natural-born talent that pulls you in whenever you watch their live stages. It also probably runs in the genes because fun fact: his cousin, Takahashi Ai, was a member of a legendary Japanese girl group, Morning Musume. And PD, you should definitely watch Lastart so you can see Riku locked in!

2025-03-14 14:15:22 +0000 UTCYou wanting to see Riku in the action… I dare to say you will like Riku’s “audition”/the very first performance in Lastart. They did it in pairs and his (+ Ryu’s (RYU not Ryo - just to make it clear) was really cool and something you might like. Although keep in mind Lastart is really no drama show with the mindset of choosing members for the long run, therefore those stages there are not like something you would see on Mnet shows.

The 3 members are just really great in their own colors🥹 also, not to give spoiler but Sion & Yushi were already a fixed members of the nct new team in Lastart while Riku placed #*** on the Lastart finals, that's why he got in nct new team.

I am not sure with who I struggled the most back then. Probably with Riku, but not during performances (there it was always crystal clear), but during “interviews” after their stages/footage from preparations. I would always confuse Riku and Kassho (Kassho did not make the cut… just to make it clear you don’t go like: “And who the hell is Kassho and how did I not notice him the whole time??”) 😅😅
