He slowly picks himself up in Winner, finding those little joys through the B-sides and gets out of the rabbit hole in YAY. And yes, he finds the charm and starts embracing every side of himself in Flow. He pretty much brings this concept to ONEW THE LIVE as well. (He announced the USA tour date already. Please give it a go if you have time 🫶🏼He will bring different charms to his songs through live performance 🫶🏼

I can't wait to see him again soon. He’s the kind of person who gives so much with such sincerity that you find yourself needing to sit in your seat for a long time after the show, trying to process everything and figure out what to do with all the love you’ve received.

2025-02-26 14:53:13 +0000 UTCwe're still waiting for the US tour dates but let me tell you...onew the live is so amazing. 22 songs all sung live from the first word to the very last (like REALLY live) from all of his korean albums: voice, dice, circle, flow and connection. i hope you can go! (and it might be time to do a listening party for voice and dice lol). you are not prepared for beat drum live with the way jinki performs it, i'm telling you...hehe

2025-02-26 14:44:59 +0000 UTCi have a lot of thoughts about this album. the title itself isnt a mystery but i love how jinki approaches music more broadly and not just focuses on romance. the way he starts with winner, which is him triumphing despite all the hurt the world has given him,…because of all the connections he’s made: promise you, which he wrote thinking about what his mother might have felt raising him (he’s an only child and you can tell he is a very much loved one)…boy, the inner child he’s rediscovering to help him remember innocent joy in the smallest things during a simpler time; gradation, obviously the romantic aspect (and he thought of the paint technique of blending one color into the next); conversation, the important friendships we have (which connects to his current ceo who is also his long time best friend and was featured in the teaser for this song), and finally to yay, where he’s literally ending the album with ‘i’m happy’. contrast that line to the end of winner, where he was raising his finger to the sky in a moment of triumph but his expression was still so desperate and hurt…and i just get goosebumps. it’s full circle, and it’s especially more poignant for fans who follow him closely and know his stories. i just adore this album to bits, it’s my favorite.
