I think that is an interesting thing about Hunter X Hunter. That does not force the main characters to be together just for the sake of the story and them being the main characters. Their story is about something else, so why would they have to be here now? Or the other way round when the story focused on Kurapika and although Killua and Gon were still there, they were not the main focus. So it would be interesting if that happened again, but this time with the story focusing on kind of not known characters
