oh PD! I don't know if you noticed, but I certainly haven't if others didn't point out to me before: in the opening at the very end the singer sings "War! War! My War!" and then the choir sings "Monster! Monster!" as we Zoom in on Eren's titan at the end :) i thought the lyrics of this opening and the show's openings overall are very reflective of the show's storytelling perspective, and I started paying attention to them much later when rewatching it for the 3rd time only (lol xD) if you are wondering, it's my 6th time rewatching this show now with you ehehehe ill never get tired of it!

2025-01-13 08:04:31 +0000 UTCI remember where i was and what was i doing, when i first watched this episode. Still to this days i got chills-- using another titans jaw to kill your target? Eren changed so much and it freaked me out.

2025-01-12 08:13:45 +0000 UTCI always feel so weird and I get mixed feeling from this episode/the exact scene of Armin nuking whole Liberio. One side of me feels the revenge, because they did the same to Paradito people in Shinganshina back then. But the other side of me is fully aware this is wrong and it only supports the circle of violence to continue. But emotions aside… their entry has so much SWAG. Porco saying: “What?? Don’t they see I am a titan??” Dude… you are just one and another out of hundreds for them… It is interesting that Eren did not eat Porco immediately, because when Lara Tybur was turning into her titan, he did not wait and did not let her transform and punched her into her face. I guess technically for the story Eren did not need Jaw Titan’s power, so he was about to eat him just to make Marley even weaker and sure… the less titan they have the less chances they have to kill Eren. But during writing this I realized Eren knew it was necessary to let the Jaw Titan live… Regarding how Armin’s Colossal Titan looks like… The way titan forms look like reflects the current owner’s personality/mindset. You can notice Armin’s titan does not have ears, because he does not want to hear people’s scream. And Eren using the Jaw Titan as a nutcracker is just ICONIC!! Regarding Eren collecting all the titans. As you can see he already had two titans and his titan form always looked the same. Therefore the visual aspect stays the same and only the powers are new for the owner. Although… it is questionable whether the owner of more titans (Eren in this case) can technically decide how it will look. Because if he obtained the Colossal Titan and he wanted to use its power, it would have been weird if he stayed in his “regular form” and he would have been just making his arms long and heavy to attack someone as if he was Mr Fantastic… But I guess even if he stayed in the regular form and he had the Colossal Titan too, he could have used the nuke aspect while he would have been transforming (even to his regular form, maybe it would have been not so nuclear bomb-like). Also… the War Hammer titan having so less screentime is the third point I mind about the story. Like… it is not “plot hole-ish” as in the case of Reiner suddenly sending his consciousness to different part of his body or when Bertholdt transformed again in the first season right behind Eren and when Eren attacked him immediately he just “steamed himself out”, but there was no skeleton or anything, because it would give them and us as viewers hints way too soon. But regardless of the War Hammer Titan having very little screentime not being a plothole, it just feels like it could have been used way more for the story, so the character wasn’t introduced just to be eaten right after that
