July 2020 Patron Update!

Dear Patrons, 

Our community is growing! We’re pleased to announce that given the growth of our YouTube channel and your incredible support, we’ll be expanding our content as Kelly and Monty transition to working on Dungeon Dudes full-time. We aren’t quite there yet, but over the next six months we’re shifting our personal and professional obligations so we can dedicate ourselves fully to this incredible project and our amazing community. We’ve got some really exciting videos, stories, and more in the making, and we can’t wait to share it with you! 

This would not be possible without your incredible generosity and support. There are no words which can sufficiently describe our gratitude to you, our Patrons. As such, we feel the best way to express that gratitude is through making even better content, sharing more videos and other RPG creations, and connecting with our community more often. So here’s what you can expect from us in the coming months: 

Extra Biweekly YouTube Videos!

Starting in July, we will be releasing an additional video on our YouTube channel every other Tuesday! We’ll spearhead these video releases with our series, D&D 5e Subclass Tier Rankings, which will be the main focus of the Tuesday releases until we get through every core class in D&D 5e. This allows our regular Thursday episodes keep focusing on player’s guides and dungeon master advice topics just as we’ve always done. 

Once we finish the Subclass Tier Ranking series, we’ll continue to release additional biweekly videos on Tuesdays in 2021 on a wider range of topics. 

New Monthly Q&A Livestreams on Twitch with Patron-Submitted Questions!

Also beginning in July, we’re be hosting a Q&A live-stream on Twitch on the last Thursday of each month from 6pm to 8pm ET. We want your questions! 

Two weeks before each Q&A, we’ll create a post here on Patreon where you can submit your questions. To begin, we’d ask that you submit no more than one question for consideration. We hope we can answer most submissions, but we may need to narrow our selections occasionally depending on the quantity. We’ll read out your questions out during the stream, and likely take a few extra questions from the live chat as well.

Monthly Writer’s Room Voice Chat on Discord!

If you haven’t visited our Patron-only Discord server yet, please join us by connecting your Discord and Patreon accounts (here’s how). It’s the heart of our community, and what’s more, we’re starting a new and exclusive monthly voice chat session! 

On the second or third Monday each month from 1 PM to 3 PM ET, join Kelly and Monty on our Patron Discord Server for our new “Writer’s Room” chat sessions. We will be talking through our process, working on our show notes for upcoming episodes, and of course, taking your questions. 

These sessions will be free-form, drop-in, casual chats. They will not be recorded, and will not be available online later — although the discussion topics and questions might find their way into our future videos. It’s a chance for you to get involved behind-the-scenes, hang out with us, and come together as a community. 

We understand the timing might make it tricky for everyone to attend. If these chat sessions turn out to be fun and popular, we might look to holding another monthly session at a different time. 

The sessions will be held in our new Writer’s Room voice chat channel, which will only be open during the chat sessions. Here’s the schedule for our upcoming sessions:
