Being a Jin bias, I feel like I've always known that he's drawn to the rock/live band sound and since i've always been a fan of this genre, this album is so special to me. i'm so glad he was able to showcase his vocals so clearly on this album and explore his sound. but above all, i love the instrumentals on this! as soon as i heard it, i was like "oh this is so jin" I'm so glad you liked the album! Every member of BTS exploring their own styles and preferences in music has made the military era a little more easier i think. Of course, I love the group music but the solo work has definitely reminded me that they're all really just such artists who love making good music beyond trends. the ARMY always say that jin's voice shines on Japanese tracks, so if you get a chance, please check out his collab with taka! it's the japanese version of falling and they both sound amazing. thank you so much for this! <3

2024-12-12 23:34:34 +0000 UTCI’ve been a Jin bias for 7-8 years and I’ve been waiting so long for a solo album. Running Wild was probably my least favorite track since it obviously was the “English track” that appealed to a wider audience, it didn’t tap into the full emotions that Jin was very much capable of. Another Level was something I wanted from Jin for a while, something dark and intense to expand the genres he does. Heart on the Window was super good, I fully thought it was gonna be a ballad but I was pleasantly surprised. Falling is my favorite track, it tapped into that emotional power that I’m familiar with from Jin while also giving me something new. Falling was what I wanted from Running Wild, it could’ve very much been the title track for this EP.

2024-12-11 18:54:27 +0000 UTCI liked Running Wild and appreciated I’ll Be There but they were very expected and I wasn’t too excited for the album because I expected more of that from Jin. And then the bsides were wildly good and all made it into my seasonal playlist lol. He’s a very powerful and emotional singer and I loved hearing him a bit outside of the classic rock Jin and ballads.

Another Level is my favorite song, it's my type of song! Also I feel like it's such a Taemin song! Also for Falling he did a Japanese cover with freaking TAKA from OneOkRock!! I love OOR and Taka is one of my favorite vocalists in all of music.
