Then BTS up until around Mic Drop (I still think their music is great, it's just not my thing anymore). Lastly, Stray Kids, although lately they're also straying off (pun not intended) from the noise-EDM sound I love so much. IDK if I'm using the genres correctly, I hope what I mean is clear at least.

But I checked and you're right, it was GD/BB>Aespa>Seventeen! It makes more sense too, they got 2 Daesangs.

I also don't have rl friends who like BB so I was very happy to watch someone who shared the same happiness and excitement as me about their comeback and performance :D I got into kpop because of girl groups, but at heart I'm not a pop music listener, I'm mostly a metal fan. What draws me in kpop is the visuals and choreography more than the music, and I was so pleasantly surprised when I discovered Big Bang around 2012. They were the first group I liked because of their music as well (like, a lot) and since then there have only been like 2-3 more groups that I like their music like that. They're just SO so so good. Sidenote: since 2ne1 are also back, I will DIE if I see GD and CL on stage together again.

2024-12-11 04:01:14 +0000 UTC12:10 - The MEOVV member you like is Gawon and the second one is Narin The third one you noticed because of the dance break is their main dancer Sooin, I personally like her a lot, because... well... there are MAMA reaction videos of idols watching and enjoying the BIGBANG stage and she was hyped the most of them and my mind went: "Hell yeah, girl! I feel you!!" The rest of members are Ella (she is mixed, she is easy to remember) and then a Japanese member Anna. This performance really sold MEOVV to me. I started to like them because of Toxic and Body, but when it comes to Meow, it is a similar case to Batter Up by Baemon, I just don't listen to that song from my own will. But this performance slightly chaged the perspective to that + I finally do not see Narin being cocky with her attitude, but truly bad-ass!

2024-12-10 23:26:23 +0000 UTCThere are behind the scenes/preparation videos for this stage, where they had a discussion about joining him for this stage and G-Dragon said it out loud Home Sweet Home was originally meant to be a BIGBANG song. Then... In the episode of Zip DaeSung I sent you because of TaeYang mentioning SEVENTEEEN as the group he noticed really early on and knew they would make it big, they (BIGBANG) pretty much said/hinted there would be a BIGBANG comeback. They talked about their favorite BIGBANG songs. G-Dragon said Still Life, DaeSung said Last Dance and TaeYang said: "I wanted to say Still Life as well, but my answer is THE NEXT ONE" and that was not meant to be Home Sweet Home, because that had been recorded already for sure and G-Dragon also said: "I guess, I should start to work on that..." Plus in general they talked there about staying as they are not becoming even smaller group, so I would say all of this is one big build-up for their 20th anniversary in 2026. Which reminds me to mention a thing about T.O.P! Besides the obvious color choice G-Dragon made for the clothes he wore for the stage (pink being favorite color of T.O.P plus it looking similar to T.O.P's iconic drip from MAMA 2012) and leaving the Bang Bang Bang echo in the whole stadium without interrupting it with their voices/covering it on their own, I think G-Dragon made one big reference to T.O.P in Home Sweet Home too! I mean, this whole comeback and both Power and Home Sweet Home are full of references to the past times, his and their career. But besides all of this... G-Dragon shared on his instastory a picture of a moon (T.O.P's location in Still Life) with Home Sweet Home set for the part of: "We alike dead or alive, your life? Still life. It's so nice, I missed you a lot. You're welcome back home, wherever you are." Although I do not remember if this whole part was in the story, but regardless it seems to be a reference to T.O.P, but definitely the: "You're welcome back home, wherever you are" was in the story, which can't be more obvious, I would say... They are giving T.O.P time to think about whether he wants to come back with them with the full-on BIGBANG comeback. Which... I fully understand his decision of not wanting to be connected with anything K-Pop related after the weed scandal and him being cancelled, which led to him trying to overdose himself, but... I have hard time believing he does not miss these times with them at all... Plus... sure the music will be phenomal even if G-Dragon is the only rapper there (or if they make huge throwback to YG Family times before BIGBANG debuted in which TaeYang (back then TaekWon) used to rap as well, that would be nice too), but G-Dragon and T.O.P and their "opposite voices"/rap tones are the blueprint for pretty much EVERY K-Pop group until now. It is not just about rapping. I have hard time imagining a BIGBANG song without TaeYang and DaeSung singing there... like these four members have always been what made BIGBANG BIGBANG... For the end just a small thing regarding Seo Taiji and Boys. Technically by Wikipedia etc, they are considered K-Pop, but they formed themselves on their own, they did not go through any training system and in general the concept of labels and whole K-Pop realm started after they disbanded. I view them as someone, who changed the Korean music scene top to bottom and served as an inspiration for K-Pop to be created later on, but I would not call them K-Pop, just because they were a popular act of Korea... Plus obviously someone/something influencing something else to happen/to be created, does not mean it became the thing as well (both in music and pretty much anything).

2024-12-10 17:57:18 +0000 UTCaespa's performance had me absolutely GAGGED. i was literally speechless. watching mama live was sickening i was up at 5 am partying and crying in my room. also seeing bigbang actually do bang bang bang and fantastic baby as well was CRAZY because we didn't get anything saying it was coming up we just thought they were chanting bigbang because they're a big artist and they were gonna end it there. THEN WE HEARD THE SONG COME IN!!! the live chat was going insane i was going insane like i was SWEATING!!! honestly cause we had no idea i think it added to the shock of it all. i cried at the end of it. this years MAMA was incredible and adds on to the iconic years of MAMA. i loved your reaction i related to you so much watching it.

Hearing the entire MAMA crowd basically scream Supernova on top of their lungs and aespa just having fun murdering this stage with a smirk on their faces was amazing. On top of that they basically swept MAMA and MMA winning awards left and right, it's just beautiful to witness as a fan. Btw Giselle had an allergic reaction the day prior to this performance so she missed the award ceremony on the first day but performed with these glasses on the next day, that's the reason she kept them on for almost the entire performance.

She wore them while accepting awards with the group and sitting as an audience member. During the MMA's she was also still feeling sick the reaction, but still performed with the rest of the girls flawlessly.

Taeyang and GD also were on Daesung's YouTube show Zip Daesung were they reminisced a lot of their old times and talked about Bigbang going forward too.

Everyone who watched this immediately felt the gravity and history they were witnessing while watching even if you're a new fan and not familiar with Bigbang. Just incredible. Also watching your channel analyse and react to K-Pop throughout the years this felt really special watching you react to this stage.

Thankfully my friend was awake watching it with me who knows nothing about kpop got to see me loose my mind! I'm so glad he was awake so I could freak the fuck out!! I had NO clue they were gonna do this! I just wanted to watch GD perform and see the winners. But then Taeyang showed up I was like oh that's amazing....then FREAKING DAESUNG SHOWED UP MY BIAS AND I LOST IT! The song is beautiful! Then they went below stage and I was like nah they won't come back.... THEN THEY CAME BACK AND I LOST IT AGAIN! The yellow ocean got me so emo I actually cried. I cant believe they did this in 2024! I remember hearing these songs on the radio at the store I worked in back in like 2012-13 here in Massachusetts that's how big they were. I'm never getting over this no matter how many times I watch it. Also LOVED watching all the idols just have so much fun with them and react the same way we do. Its amazing to think about how half of them are on that stage cause of Big Bang inspiring them to be idols! Big Bang will always be one of the most nostalgic groups ever. I hope this means they will be releasing more for us next year cause IM FREAKING HERE FOR IT! Also one of the best concerts I've ever attended was Alive tour in 2012!

The whole thing made me so nostalgic I almost cried. Big shoutout to Gyuvin and Gunwook basically having their own fancam freaking out and Matthew being scared they'd damage the floor around them from jumping so hard. That's the energy Bang Bang Bang deserves
