some hilarious / lighthearted ones i like recently: - Oblivion Battery, highschool baseball anime, season 1 is freaking hilarious - Mashle, magic school, funny main char - Komi can't communicate, very sweet and cute! - The Dangers in My Heart, also very sweet and cute! - Mob 100 is good too!! sorry im recommending so much. I'll recommend one more which is my all-time favorites besides Haikyuu: - Jobless Reincarnation, it's more on a heavy side (first season was funny but it got dark after lol)

2024-12-07 23:08:53 +0000 UTCI did not know much about Dan Da Dan (besides it started to be popular), so I jumped into it without both any clue and expectations and all I can say it is truly an unique fusion of more genres and ideas into one show, I appreciate that a lot! To be honest it is hard to compare it to something else. Like… Shingeki no Kyojin and Jujutsu Kaisen are different things, but you can recommend someone one of that if they liked the other one because of its “dark theme/nature”. But in this case? Sure, it is definitely funny, but at the same time it is not the usual “haha, that is so funny!” show… that is really interesting case. Also… Momo’s grandma… I don’t know how old she is, but regardless of that… total smash!! 😅😅

The color palettes, the voice acting, animation, the heavy realization at the end what the location-bound spirit actually was, and the bittersweet farewell turned into a promise of 'see you tomorrow' at the end. Such a perfect close to the Turbo Granny arc! I love the shoutout to the music, it does capture the personality and tone of the series ❤️ This anime has done a good job of "showing, not telling", which really strikes your emotions also lolll it's been a while since i've last heard of nichijou. I could say it's one of the anime that has genuinely made me laugh along with saiki kusuo and asobi asobase---top tier comedy really
