Also side noted. Seeing Eunsang and Hyeongjun win ACE positions and rank high brings my X1 heart to peace and i'm so proud. Hyeongjun and Eunsang got sooooo much criticism over their skills back in ProduceX101 and even X1... that seeing this is such a slap in the face to the doubters and haters who questioned if they where skilled enough to debuted in X1.

Just let the boy win first time round xD

Ripping efforts/assumed guarantees (in this case of performing) away purely for "shock value" is just traumatizing them and no MNET that doesn't make me go "oooo makes we wanna keep watching this show!"

They and Taemin are the only reasons I even watched this. I do kinda wish that Seoho could go off more vocally because I know he can do it after seeing all of their concerts that have been posted on YouTube. I think that would also hype up the performances even more while Hwanwoong can slay the choreo. Those are the two aces in ONEUS imo with Keonhee being a potential third. It’s unfortunate that their ranking for this round isn’t as high as I thought for other people even tho the ace ranking is because they are a good group, but I’m not complaining about their final rank in the last episode (dw no spoilers) and think it’s well deserved

I think they were released after this episode...looked it up it came out between last ep and this one. Here's the link! The CrewOne 7. 8TURN I wasn’t overly surprised by how accurate my ace rankings were, I think the difference was the teams that could make their ace shine and then after that it came down to skill in their performance. revisiting comments from the last ep(for this team stage, I judged more on how teams elevated the song they chose or made it different. 8TURN and TEMPEST didn’t do that for me as an enha and skz stan. 8TURN’s performance felt small and TEMPEST felt like they were doing a cover. I feel like there were much better skz stages they could’ve done really well on. I chose younite > cravity bc younite did a storyline that didn’t require having watched whatever movie cravity referenced alone with younite rearranging parts of bite me well!) ep3 comments! I ranked oneus lower bc I agree w the feedback of hwanwoong pulling the team. having seen them live, it’s kinda hard to watch the other members come off so nervous? small? compared to the amazing performances in the past. wondering where their confidence has gone :((( kind of hoping for a turnaround in the next stage! for the ace tiebreaker, my original comments had CRAVITY’s ace over hwanwoong purely based on choreo, but after the rewatch, I do think hwanwoong took it after all!

2024-11-29 19:40:31 +0000 UTCMy ranking is as following (and also some suggestions for songs they could have done): Cravity: Really nice concept and performance, put everything into it (didn’t know the movie but after I watched it I even put them higher up this list, but they already were first) Younite: Very strong concept, performance wise could have been a bit better but was still good TNX: nice reproduction of the song, nice rap, choreo could have been a bit better and the concept wasn’t as clear ONEUS: Pretty good, but Kick It really would have shined with RAVN’s raspy voice much more. The Crew One: They really chose the wrong song to me, they didn’t shine (only Geonu, Bain and Yeongyu did) but a good concept 8TURN: Really good choreo, but that was it for me (too similar to the original and not on the same level) TEMPEST: Was really just an underwhelming cover (not bad, but not good enough) Songs I would have chosen for each group Cravity: SRR is a good choice from them but I would say either ”Deja Vu” or ”Can’t you see me” Younite: Bite me was changed in a good way, but I feel they would have been good on ”Tamed-Dashed” or “Let me in” TNX: They could have fitted anything from Stray Kids to be honest and they chose well by doing a B-side, but as a title track I would have said “Thunderous” and as a dark horse “Levanter” (also wanted to say “God’s Menu” or “Side Effects” but they did them on Kingdom so that wouldn’t be good). Also TNX on “Voices” would also be very dope ONEUS: Kick it was nice but would have fitted something like “Favorite” or “Touch” would have worked for them. ONEUS also participated on season 1 and I feel like (apart from Joker) this wasn’t as strong, so maybe try a well thought out fresh concept? The Crew One: I’m going to be honest, poor boys. The Boyz participated 2 times already, most songs they had already done. My recommendations would have been “Maverick” or “Roar”, they would have fitted their voices better I feel like (“Thrill Ride” would also have been fun, but ”Tatoo” is not an option because you need to match Sunwoo in that song, that is a big no) 8TURN: ”Future Perfect” is their lane, that might have been a trap. I would have recommended them “Blessed-Cursed” or “Given-Taken” (could see them doing all of their songs so that might be why they chose “an easy way”) TEMPEST: Maniac isn’t beatable without insane rappers and a deep voice. I would have given them “Case 143” or “LA LA LA” (less insane rapps and deep vocals) Some info on Serim, he is basically one of the 99's (Yeonjun, Wooyoung, Changbin and a few other guys)

And I very much agree with your thoughts about their performance, even thought i love the song and concept they went for. I somewhat understand why they were trying to find a member that fit the concept well, because I think that a part of being able to portray the story well. But personally I would have LOVED to see Geonu or Jimin take the lead on this one (i also think Bain and DY are very charismatic and i want to see more from them but that's probably just me being biased cus, I know Just B better than ATBO, so I'm not really sure who in ATBO would suit this concept). I feel like putting a team together this close to a competition really worked against them because they wouldn't know the other team well enough to decide who is able to take the lead well on stage/

2024-11-29 17:47:25 +0000 UTCmy fav performance of the whole round was definitely younite. they blew me away. but also hwanwoongs ace performance was so legendary i had goosebumps the whole time. seeing it on tv is one thing but i can't even imagine how insane that must have been to see with your own eyes. his aura is just so different irl. oneus in general. seeing them irl really hits so so different they are so incredible.
