You Don't Know Jack (Ruby) pt. 4

We are thrilled to be back with our friend from across the pond, researcher Max Arvo, for another installment of our excavation into the man who killed Lee Oswald, Jack Ruby.

We start off by recapping and taking stock of our speculative findings thus far, from the motivating force behind Jack's desperate spate of phone calls to old mob pals, to whether and how he was brought into a larger conspiracy, to what was going through his mind as he took the fatal shot and surrendered his body to his friends on the Dallas Police Department.

Then we pick up with our factual narrative where we left off in Part 3, including a deep rumination on the spectacular implications of this being the first-ever murder caught on live TV. To really drive the point home, we have condensed some of the best tidbits of ABC News's live coverage of the events of November 24, 1963 in one of our best Fourth Reich Archaeology mashups yet. Remember, that Sunday, Americans were glued to their TV sets to watch the president's casket carted from the White House to the Capitol, and Ruby's killing of Oswald interrupted the broadcast.

From there, we discuss the myths and facts surrounding the formation of Ruby's legal and psychiatric team for trial. Almost immediately, his defense counsel announces an insanity defense. Soon, local lawyer Tom Howard is joined by the superstar "king of torts," Melvin Belli, of San Francisco. Belli craves the spotlight, and we hear quite a bit from him in this episode. Being one of if not the most famous trial lawyer in America, it's no surprise that Belli is well connected, including to seamy mob figures. He's also well connected to the so-called "Law-Science" community, expanding the use of science in the courtroom.

Belli's Law-Science friend, Hubert Winston Smith - a largely unknown figure whom Max has really exposed to the light of day through his rigorous archival research - is a nexus point with the military-industrial-scientific complex, and in particular, with the CIA's MKULTRA psychiatrists and their world.

Thus, it is no surprise that MKULTRA mystery man Louis Jolyon "Jolly" West gets involved in the Ruby case as well. And, thanks to Max, we now know that he got involved right from jump street, contrary to the Official Narrative that has prevailed... until now.

It dawned on me that the “demonic holographic entity” portrayed by Melvin Belli in that Star Trek episode also closely resembles the personified voice of Capitalism in RATM’s “Sleep Now in the Fire”: https://youtu.be/kl4wkIPiTcY?si=f_v-52UYB5HJezdt “Crawl with me into tomorrow Or I'll drag you to your grave I'm deep inside your children They'll betray you in my name” More fun facts, from Belli’s Star Trek wiki: “He was the father of Caesar Belli, who played Steve O'Connel in the same episode. He had a peripheral role in the investigation of the "Zodiac Killer", which took place in the San Francisco area between 1969 and 1973, and was portrayed by Brian Cox in David Fincher's 2007 film Zodiac, which dramatized the events. The film includes a reference to Belli's guest role in Star Trek.” https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Melvin_Belli

I actually really like Max’s voice. The level of nonchalance he maintains while discussing the absolute wildest shit is admirable

Shout Shout Let It All Out

Yo I truly mean this in the best way but Max is not good on audio. He’s extremely monotone and his voice quite literally sounds robotic no matter what he is discussing. I have tried re-listening to this several times and I cannot do it. Nothing personal - just trying to be real about the medium vs the subject matter

And here’s a link to a clip from that Star Trek Original Series episode (highly recommend): https://youtu.be/chAcEYLTZ3U?si=wnu24QmOUP0V6s7R
