I was talking to one of you recently about how I've never cosplayed from Final Fantasy in this way because I had a negative experience with a FF cosplayer like 10 years ago and I felt like the stupid drama would get worse if I cosplayed from something that was a big deal to her.

if that sounds silly, it 100% is silly. big silly. the biggest silly. 

It's wild how the cosplay scene used to be (probably still is??) but since I stopped going to cons due to covid, and now I vend at them and don't cosplay... well... I stopped interacting with people like that, who sought out little arguments and drama.

I used to be the kind of person who needs to have the last word in an argument. it's something I don't like about myself and am working on, but it's easy for me to get wrapped up with negative people and situations because I'm always thirsty for that final zinger.

I will consider cosplaying other characters / outfits in the future <3 I've already been asked a bunch if I have any more FF plans, and I currently don't have anything solid or purchased, but I'm open to it :D

I actually love final fantasy. It might SHOCK you to learn that I like a popular game (jk). I first played Kingdom Hearts, so my first introduction to Cloud, Aerith, Yufi, Tifa etc etc was from K.H. and a friend of mine cosplayed Vincent Valentine when we were like 13. I was like "WHO DAT?" and she was surprised that I didn't know, but how would I ?! Vincent isn't in kingdom hearts 1 or 2. That whole time, My friend thought that I was playing FF games, not kingdom hearts. After that, I would go over to her house and play while she watched and helped me out, because my mom didn't really like me playing video games and wouldn't buy them for me.

I have really fond memories of playing (AND DON'T BE MAD) Crystal Chronicles with her on the game cube, I remember we had to link game boy advances or some shit to it in order to play, but it was so long ago, I don't really remember. It makes me so sad that people generally don't like it compared to the bigger FF games. It was just a fun couch co-op.
