Parents can be master manipulators - the whole 'death of your future' thing was just her trying to get her way - they try and mask it like it is concern for you but really its that they just can't or won't deal that you could be something other than what they want or need you to be. I see it not only in lgbtq contexts but as you kind of point toward - 'when am I going to get grandkids' in maybe not so subtle of a context. I don't mean to be harsh here and my parents have been great on a variety of fronts with me and never pulled that crap not even once so I know its possible for parents to not be self involved, I just see so many of my friends suffer with this and it hurts me to know they have to navigate something so ridiculous.

Parents, like teenagers, have a way of coming to their senses as they get older. It'll take some work but his folks are perfectly salvageable. After I came out my mom spent two years dramatically mourning the death of my future. Then one day -- not long after I brought the same guy home for his 3rd Christmas with us -- the lights came on. She saw I was happy and pretty much adopted the guy I was living with. Funny thing is she immediately switched to worrying about my older brother. "When is he going to get married? I mean he's almost 30 and a mathematician! He shouldn't wait too long..."

They have truly lost their way - even in the context of faith - which by the way has very little to do with actual christianity which teaches gnosis (knowing) only comes through direct experiences and cannot be taught/shared/or taken up only pointed at because they knew it was unique for everyone and not a dogma or doctrine that was to be adhered to.

Jeremy is older than Boris, and as far as I know, Boris and Parker go to the same school, so I imagine they’re the same age. But Tom says that he and Parker know each other from juvie, so they can’t be that far apart in age. Are Jeremy and Tom the same age, or is Tom older than everyone else in the comic?
