Omg 4 years?!? Well thank you so very much for supporting me for all that time! And thank you for the birthday wishes :) Ah your store sounds pretty much the same as mine in terms of the safety precautions it's taking. That's pretty decent of them to give you a bit of a bonus and a raise! We're getting a bonus also, should be around £1000 which will be split over the next year which is pretty decent. Yeah hopefully he will be ok, I hope that anyone who gets it is ok of course! The virus doesn't care how old or young people are by the seems of it. Stay safe too!

2020-04-07 20:29:05 +0000 UTCFirst of all, have a happy birthday Wednesday, but it might not be very happy this year. According to my Patreon profile, we have been meeting here for fifty months. Where have the last four years gone? We have to stop meeting like this, people are getting suspicious, ha ha. I also work at a grocery store, third shift, unloading trucks and stocking shelves. I consider it a blessing because so many others are unemployed and have no income. Being on shift from 22:00 to 06:00 the next morning, my exposure is limited to the team I work with. The people who work in the day are at the greater risk. The store is taking extra measures, with hours shortened, wearing masks (I don't bother because I'm not around the customers), sneeze guards placed between the cashiers and the customers, queueing marks on the floor for customers to stand the correct distance apart. There are lots of sterilizing items at the entrance for customers to use. We have all the crazy shortages you expect, with limits on certain types of commodities. This grocery chain is being great about it. We have been given a two dollar an hour raise for the month as a thank you, and a three hundred dollar bonus as well. Living in North Carolina, we are on the same sort of limited lockdown, and if people stop abusing the privilege then maybe we can keep it that way. Theaters, shopping malls, and most other places are closed, but restaurants are allowed open only if they offer take-out. I have made a point of going to restaurants occasionally (not fast food places) to get take-out, even though I could eat cheaper at home, just to support local businesses currently in crisis, and have joined a phone tree where we contact each other by phone on a weekly basis to insure no one is forgotten or has recently lost their job. Apparently your PM is also infected and not doing very well. Recently a ninety year old woman and a centenarian each recovered nicely, so contracting the virus isn't necessarily serious, although for some it most certainly is.
