Father Christmas by The Kinks
Added 2021-12-17 17:10:38 +0000 UTCIt's Christmas Special time once again. Thanks once again for all the incredible song suggestions. After much deliberation, I decided to go with Father Christmas by the Kinks. It's long been a favourite Christmas song of mine, but I'd never tried to play it before. And it's more complex than you might imagine - odd time signatures and a very tricky arrangement. But it's full of great riffs and solos, and lots of fun to play.

Tab is below, the backing track is coming in the next post. For the tab I've just written out the rhythm part in full. (There might well be a more elegant way to do this with various repeat markings, but I ran out of time!) A rough guide to what's going on with the lead parts is tagged onto the end of the tab. Hope you enjoy learning it.
That's about it from me for this year. I'm having a bit of an Xmas break, so there will be no proper video next week (though there is probably going to be a guitar demo video coming out), and I'll be back the following week, probably on January 1st.
