“The crashing of the waves against the wharf masks the sounds of your footfall as you search the waterfront for signs of activity – this late at night, with only the faint light of the moon to guide you, few would venture into the city’s docks save those looking for trouble.

The flickering of lamplight from an alleyway ahead of you catches your attention, and you make your way to investigate cautiously, weapons drawn. You step into the lane, expecting to face the gang of thieves and murderers who have been plaguing the docks, but instead find a lit lantern sitting on the cobblestones.

Realization dawns on you as you hear the sounds of footfall from behind, and the drawing of knives.”

City Docks is a map of a 30×25 map of a bustling dockside, well suited for shady waterside dealings in the night, setting out or returning from a sea voyage, investigating grisly murders, or simply visiting the fish market, if that’s how your party likes to roll.

This map, as usual, comes with a number of tiles to adjust the encounter to your needs, and has been set up with walls, lighting, and interactive tiles in our Foundry VTT module.
