The more he realized what the entity in front of him was, the more worried Seth got. He might have given birth to a will and not a child—a being similar to the horrors or the council in their early stages.

“Can’t you talk to you know who? She might know more.”

Seth shook his head: “She’s in slumber….”

“I can’t think of an explanation off the top of my head. What will you do if Katy births a will?”

“I don’t know.” Replied Seth. “I don’t even know how that will work. Would the will leave her body or stay inside her soul? It doesn’t have a physical form, after all… there are only questions and no one to answer them….”

Hollie sighed and nodded: “That is true, but we can only wait for further changes before making a decision. Continue trying to wake her up. She might have an answer, but until then, we’ll need to monitor Katy.”

“Alright. We’ll do that.” Replied Seth with a nod before asking: “How are things going?”

“We’ve set your return celebration in a week and a half, between the time Rebecca and Leora arrive. Maya and the other government officials are setting all the minor details right now.”

“That’s good. This will give me time to spend with Rebecca before Leora’s arrival. Sorry for picking you out of the meeting like this. I needed a second opinion.”

Hollie nodded: “No problem. I’m always here if you need me. I know Maya can handle it, but I should go and join her. What will you do?”

“I’ll go and spend some more time with Henrietta. You two can come to join us when everything is over.”

After portaling Hollie back inside the meeting room, Seth found Henrietta, and they spent some time with Katy.

When Maya and Hollie finished their preparations, they joined the other three, casually chatting in bed. Katy’s mood also started to turn for the better since Seth and Hollie chose to pretend nothing was wrong for her sake.

Eventually, all five of them went to have some fun in the underground room, leaving only Caitlin behind since she had to prepare for her breakthrough.
