Legends of the Frost 3.0 Preview
Added 2022-08-11 15:54:52 +0000 UTCHey all!
Yes, I know, it's TPF 5.0 that I should be working on (I promise, I am!). But LOTF is also due for another major update in celebration of the upcoming one year anniversary of the list. LOTF 1.0 was published on 04-09-2021 and I intend to publish LOTF 3.0 on 04-09-2022.
(You know the thing with ETAs, they're never a promise.)
LOTF 3.0 will be likely be the last (major) update for the list, finalising it so I can put it aside and focus on TPF. Everything that I wanted to see in LOTF will be done at that point.
Changes in LOTF 3.0
- LOTF 3.0 will require a new save game
- Updated to Skyrim SE 1.6
- (Likely) adding Root Builder
- RAID Weathers as the new weather overhaul (see below)
- All Creations will be support but with fewer modifications (see below)
- Better world map and proper maps for small worldspaces
- (Likely) adding grass LODs
- Some mod updates requiring a new save
- Removing some mods like (probably) WACCF
Weather & ENB
I was recently made aware of the amazing combination of RAID Weathers and Defaulto ENB with Ambiance (LOTF's current lighting overhaul), and will use this as the default in 3.0. Of course, ENB will remain optional.
At this point, I am fairly sure that optional support for Obsidian Weathers and Wander will be retained.
Creations
After some soul-searching I decided to yeet most of the integration / rebalancing mods for Creations currently present in LOTF. The rebalancing by m00se is made specifically for WACCF (which is getting axed) and when it comes to CC integration I prefer an all-or-nothing solution.
I like the idea of LOTF having the CCs with some fixes but no major changes which is consistent with the rest of the list.
Your Suggestions
From now until LOTF 3.0 releases I will be making an exception where mod suggestions are concerned so please drop your suggestions in the #lotf-feedback channel on Discord! Please don't be angry if I shoot down your suggestion, I have fairly tight guidelines on what can and cannot be added to LOTF.
Of course any other feedback is also very welcome - now is the best time to speak up!

Hope you're having fun at Uni

2022-08-11 17:54:32 +0000 UTCBecause WACCF is full of feature-creep that makes it cumbersome to work with for anyone looking to build off of LOTF. I ran a quick vote on Discord and most people voted in favour of yeeting WACCF.
