October 2021 Update

Happy Halloween!

Yes, I just barely managed for this to still be an October update, posting on the 31st.  October was wild (most people active on our Discord server will have noticed me saying that a lot lately), I've had my final day at school and am now about to take my final exams. Biology is first, on Tuesday. I also applied to the University that I'm determined to go to in winter (somehow I'll make that happen, just you wait).

State of my projects

However, this also meant I made less progress on modding-related projects than I had hoped. For the past month, I've been haunted by a persistent headache (it let off late last week thankfully) and whenever I sit down to work on anything, I get the same old foggy feeling. It sucks. I did work a little on my beginner's guide draft making pitifully little progress and continued tinkering with TPF-X.

I've also unexpectedly felt the Fallout 4 bug bite me again so I've started a 2.0 rework of my FO4 list, Welcome to Paradise.  Most of the work is behind the scenes as I barely documented anything when I first set it up which I now regret bitterly. I'm essentially reinstalling the setup from scratch and of course changing/adding a few things, but nothing drastic.

On the Wabbajack side of things, all is going well with the wonderful Cody now having taken over the TPF installer. He just pushed 4.9 with some significant new additions. My own Legends of the Frost list has been a good deal more successful than I had assumed and is still going strong. One of the current TPF Addons, Slidikins' Strenuous Skyrim, is now officially on the Wabbajack UI and we are hoping TPF - Dragon's Edition will join it soon. It's honestly amazing to see all those forks taking off (they grow up so fast, sniff).

Anniversary Edition

In case anyone is wondering: I have no plans to support AE anytime soon. On account of the required SKSE rewrite, it won't be possible to really mod AE anyway and I also don't like having to use all the creations. For TPF-X I am picking and choosing which I much prefer. We're definitely sticking with SSE for the forseeable future.

---

I think that covers all the recent news. Hope you're all doing well, enjoying your Sunday evening (or whatever time it is for you), and hopefully I'll see you soon for some proper announcements!
