Writing Updates

Over the past few weeks, I am still dedicating myself to Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 4.

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, Part 4

The chapter on writing that bridges other chapters is taking a lot longer than expected, mostly because I'm trying to add all the content that people have been requesting. Even though people enjoy missions and going to kill zombies and scavenge unique locations, they also enjoy doing things around the junkyard to socialize with other survivors.

For example, right now I am making a very large scene where you can give gifts/scavenged items to different members of the group. Remember all those special items you can find around the world like high-end cosmetics, bottles of hot sauce, or harmonicas? Well now you can give them to different people in the group. It also means I'm going to have to provide more opportunities to find these items, so I'm going back to do just that.

I'm also working on training, so that the MC can give training to other survivors and be trained. One of my patrons (Primarch Tiberius) pointed out that the new members of the group can't train the MC, so I'm writing those parts.

I'm also going to add new content for things like fishing, foraging, and hunting.

I have already worked out a plan for Rachel or Jaime to improve the junkyard if they are leaders. I'm actually going to update their lists in Part 3, so they don't neglect security. Your MC may also talk to Rachel or Jaime to influence their decisions about what to build.

Next month I will finish the final chapter. I'm contemplating whether or not to leave everyone on a cliffhanger. How do you guys feel about cliffhangers?

if I end Part 4 on a cliffhanger, I can meet my end-of-April deadline. Otherwise, I will probably need another month or two.

I think it could be fun to end on a cliffhanger. it would give people time to think about ways to handle the situation. It may get people talking more about the game.

I like how the first one ended by showing the future

I think, the best thing is to do what’s best for you. Most of us have probably been following and playing since the first game. We trust and love your work. I personally don’t really mind either way..but I do think it’s best to do what’s gives you a peace of mind. If that’s cliffhangers. Cool, if its not. Still cool. Your work is phenomenal. I see no problem waiting, personally, for you to get to a good point you’re happy or comfortable with to stop and share.
