Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven Sneak Peek
Added 2023-03-06 18:54:41 +0000 UTCIn chapter 14, a new vote for leadership will take place. However, the MC may attempt to take over the group without a vote or even attempt to appoint someone leader without a vote. Some of you may wish to take this nondemocratic approach to the leadership of your group while others may wish to have the group vote on a new leader in a election.
The text below is a sneak peek at a specific branch in which Rachel is currently leader. The MC has declared their intent to take over as leader. I included the choice that you are given if the group disagrees with your takeover plans.
---
You scan the group and see small teams of survivors breaking up to discuss your takeover as leader. A sense of unease spreads through all of them as they banter about you taking charge without an election. Based on their expressions and subtle gestures, you can tell the discussions are not going in your favor.
"I don't understand why we're not having an election," Billie says. "If you think you're the best person to be leader and everyone agrees, we will all vote for you. That's the whole point of voting—to pick the best person."
Rachel waves her hand at the group from her seat at the table. "As far as I know, I am currently the leader of this group. I say we vote and let everyone decide on who will lead them going forward."
With the group disagreeing with your claim to to be the group's leader, you decide to…
#Let everyone vote on the leader. I'm not going to argue with the entire group.
#Threaten Rachel. Once she backs down, the group will support me.
#Step into the middle of the group and dare anyone to challenge me.
#Make up a threat and convince everyone I am the only one to save them going forward.
Comments
I'd add something along the lines of "shoot a dissenter". Drastic? Yes. Effective? Debatable. Evil? 100%
