Short Story Poll
Added 2021-05-03 16:07:17 +0000 UTCThis is not a poll to select the choice for the story of the month. I want to talk about short stories in general.
Currently very few people read the short stories I write specifically for Patreon. I see this based on Patreon's statistics. Their statistics are somewhat inaccurate, so I wanted to take a poll to see if people are reading them. These stories take several hours a month to write, and if people are not reading them, it seems this may be an opportunity to change the type of additional content I provide or just not do anything besides writing my games.
Originally I started adding short stories after a $500 goal was reached. I surpassed that goal fairly quickly thanks to you. Therefore I have written over 40 short stories for my Patreon. As I have said, not many of them are read. For example, only 9 people out of 210 read last month's story. Only 12 read March's story. While I appreciate anyone reading them, if less than 4% of my patrons read a story, it shows there is little interest. I can use that time on other types of content.
In this poll I would like to know if you value the short stories and articles I write.

I always read the short stories i don’t how Patreon records it though as I just read through my email and don’t log on to the site to read it.

2021-05-03 18:52:44 +0000 UTCI tend to be detail oriented which also translates into the type of reading material I enjoy. I have read all previously released short stories as well as any recently released material. In short I thoroughly enjoy gaining insight into the characters through their back stories. I for one hope this avenue of content continues. This may answer why Patreon has applied such a low percentage. When a new story is released I tend to read it in the email you provide rather than logging into Patreon. Which ever direction you take I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your work.

2021-05-03 16:34:45 +0000 UTCNormally if I find a short story because I did read Rachel‘s but I’m trying to find the others because it has been quite far but if I find them I will normally read them because I’m always enjoying your work. Why aren’t you able to variate between story and video? I know. Time-consuming right?

2021-05-03 16:31:23 +0000 UTCI'm just not sure if that 4% is accurate. Patreon has horrible statistics. For example, they say nine people read the story, but there are twelve likes. It's hard to know if that is legitimate or not. I would rather make video content to share with a broader audience, but I want to do what my patrons enjoy.

2021-05-03 16:20:46 +0000 UTCIf there's less than 4% of the people that have read your short stories then it make sense that you should invest your time in other things such as live streaming to discuss about ZESH and answering a few questions during that livestream
