2025-08-23 La trecnologia Vintage ... Vintage o Retrò?

Durante le mie vacanze, e precisamente a Bruxelles, sono entrata in alcuni negozi di antiquariato lasciandomi trasportare dalla storia e da tutti quegli oggetti che in passato hanno anche abitato le case di molti di noi o dei nostri avi.

Mi sono chiesta se tutti quegli oggetti fossero vintage o retrò e sono andata a documentarmi anche sulla differenza dei due significati.

Vintage: oggetto originale di epoca passata

Retrò: imitazione o riproduzione di uno stile passato ricreato nel presente.

In montagna ho scoperto di avere molti oggetti vintage ed addirittura una lavastoviglie che , quello stesso modello, oggi è conservata in un Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci a Milano e viene anche noleggiata per i film che richiedono oggetti degli anni 60.

E noi che pensiamo che oggetti di un tempo abbiano fatto il loro tempo!

Ma non è sempre così; la tecnologia del passato, quasi sempre, è migliore di quella del presente e nonostante non si trovino più i ricambi, fanno ancora il loro modesto mestiere.

Vi porto con me a scoprire i miei oggetti vintage anche se qualcuno nel tempo è diventato retrò; e voi, cosa avete ancora di questi due stili?

E andando più indietro oggetto di antiquariato? ( oggetto prodotto da almeno 100 anni considerato prezioso per il suo valore artistico, storico e collezionistico).

Sono curiosa di leggere e vedere le foto nella community; per il resto magari un giorno vi porterò in un negozio vintage o di antiquariato per scoprire qualcosa di unico.

During my vacation, specifically in Brussels, I wandered into a few antique shops, letting myself be transported by history and all those objects that once graced the homes of many of us or our ancestors.

I wondered if all those objects were vintage or retro, and I also went to research the difference between the two.

Vintage: an original object from a bygone era

Retro: an imitation or reproduction of a bygone style recreated in the present.

In the mountains, I discovered I had many vintage objects, including a dishwasher. That same model is now housed in the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, and is even rented for films that require items from the 1960s.

And we think that objects from the past have had their day!

But that's not always the case; the technology of the past is almost always better than that of the present, and even though spare parts are no longer available, they still do their modest job.

I'll take you with me to discover my vintage items, even if some have become retro over time. What do you still have of these two styles?

And going further back, what about antiques? (An object produced at least 100 years ago, considered valuable for its artistic, historical, and collectible value).

I'm curious to read and see the photos in the community; for the rest, maybe one day I'll take you to a vintage or antique shop to discover something unique.
