Dear Demons,

It's been a while since I've done a cover.

For some time it was a routine thing that I would do every month with Garry but it became somewhat of a hurried, last minute and cobbled together process that I didn't feel very proud of the results.

When I stretch myself too thin these are the things that begin to slip and I end up making quantity over quality. It's an easy thing to do when you're balancing many things, as you all know I love to do!

These days I'm mostly making mostly original music (thanks to you!) and loving every moment of it. I'm doing metal, blues, folk, rock, experimental, alternative, classical, electronic... I have SO much to give you over the next few months!

Anyway, amazingly I've been able to tick this cover off my list. BRMC's first self-titled record is a huge part of my musical history. I listened to that album so much on many tours and long journey, it became one of my favourite driving records.

This song in particular is just so dark and sludgy and depressing it's like a warm sunset coming up after an all-nighter. It's the soundtrack to drifting from town to town and the weird dreamy feeling you get after being on the road a little too long.

I enjoyed taking it to the piano. It's very stripped back from the original. I recommend getting into the album if you haven't already.
