Moving forwards... and back to the music.

To my wonderful patrons...

For the first time in maybe 2 weeks I actually sat at my piano. Not to practice but to write. And a whole new song came out.

This is a very good sign.

What can I say except thank you again for the incredible feedback on my last post, it really lifted a weight off me.

I feel like in the last blog "Threadbare" I got all that negative stuff off my chest and I'm ready to move forwards.

I shall now try to explain what that means for you lot, and for Patreon.

I heard loud and clear that most of you are interested in me actually creating songs and art, and other content is secondary. Of course you are!  

So here we go.

First up the things that I'm keeping are:

- The Photo Diary (this is fun for me and I think it gives a good insight into what goes on)

- The Vlogs (these are created by our lovely video-guy Matas so doesn't take time away and they are wonderful to watch back and see what's happened in a month)

MORE ORIGINAL SONGS

I think it's pretty clear that most of you would rather I was working on a new song to share here rather than be sidetracked by all the "extras", so I am going to try and release an original song every month.

Occasionally I might choose to do a cover, but really I think I've made quite enough covers on Patreon already, so taking a break from this tier might be a good thing. For those of you who might've missed some, here is a dropbox to The Patreon Selection Box where they shall reside.

This will give me SO much more time to finish original material and share that with you instead!

I am currently now in 5 original music projects: Birdeatsbaby, Hana Piranha, Mishkin Fitzgerald (& The Chemical Perils), HVIRESS and Third Bloom, so there should be plenty of music to go around and I can do my favourite genre-hopping thing which I love to do.

One thing that I really enjoy is collaborating and spreading the word of other artists that inspire me. I am going to make sure that the livestreams always include another person. This will keep me from growing stressed over what songs to play, and always make it exciting and unpredictable for you guys to watch! This can also be member of Birdeatsbaby or the other projects - something we've not done a lot of because everyone has been spread a little thin recently...

We can discuss topics, life have Q&As on whatever you'd like, and I will be reaching out to new people, so please do, tell me who you'd like me to have on the Monthly Livestream?

I'm really enjoying the daily discord stuff! I'm so busy in my day and so much goes on that this is a perfect way to share behind-the-scenes content with you all. Also I fucking hate Instagram and Facebook and TikTok. This feels like the right place for us, I hope you will join us there it's already buzzing with The Patreon Flock and all your shares!

From now on I will do one post near the start on the month - outlining my goals, dreams, financial projections, joys and worries so you are all aware of where I'm at. 

This will always include last month's video blog too so we can look back and see what was achieved, and share in that together.

At the end of the month you will get one more blog with everything included that I managed to do. However - if I failed to get something done, then no biggy! I will let you know, and we can try again next month. This way I can be fluid with my goals, and not put myself under any silly pressure (that only I am causing).

Thank you again for reaffirming me, and letting me get back to what matters.
