To my darling demons...

It's been a wild month.

I'm currently sat up in "The Roost" which is now our attic studio, typing away as Garry mixes the cover we did this month.

September has been so eventful! Hana launched a Kickstarter campaign, HVIRESS did their first show (with the amazing Georgia Train), I changed my hair from orange to grey, we recorded a single with Emberhoney... AND are just about to embark on the biggest video shoot in Birdeatsbaby history... here goes...

This is also the first end-of-the-month blog for all so keep reading for all the juicy rewards to come.

HOLE - I THINK THAT I WOULD DIE

For those of you who know me well, you know that I was largely influenced by Hole back in the 90s. The album "Live Through This" had quite a profound affect on my creative brain, and my song-writing. Courtney Love's ability to express rage and pain through something that wasn't all about achieving perfection, but instead just expressing yourself because you had to. Her southern drawling vocals and lazy guitar licks made me feel like maybe... just maybe one day, I could do that too.

In true Courtney form, it's pretty rough around the edges, we tried to make it sound like a jam but it's there, it's shouty and fun. We'll probably fix it up a little at some point for a later release but here you go, this is our monthly cover I Think That I Would Die.

🕯𝕴𝖑𝖑𝖚𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖆𝖙𝖊 🕯

As we bring this month to a close I'm very excited to share with you the next (full production) song, 🕯𝕴𝖑𝖑𝖚𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖆𝖙𝖊 🕯which is from ℍ𝔼𝕏. 

It's richly layered, dreamy, etherial and huge sounding. We took a lot of time on the mix just getting everything to sit just right, and I think there is going to be maybe one more tweak before it's released too, but this is the 99% finished version.

The video (alas) is not complete, but as one of you (Zack) so rightly pointed out - you can't rush these things! It will be worth the wait and I think I'm getting to see the first draft later tonight... I hope so.

Anyway I shall not tease you anymore, here is the next song from ℍ𝔼𝕏...
