I'm so happy right now, buzzing actually. I have so much good stuff coming up for Birdeatsbaby, The Chemical Perils, HVIRESS and Hana Piranha... so, go get a cuppa, put your feet up and keep reading. I'm going to dive right in.

GEORGIA TRAIN + JADU SUPPORT

First up we have a few big shows coming up in the pipeline. On 25th Sept, HVIRESS will be opening for Georgia Train (yes, that's Ms Bitter Ruin!) at The Hope & Ruin, Brighton. I think there is just 10 tickets left (if any), so grab them here.

Birdeatsbaby have also landed a support slot with Jadu (incredible artist from Germany), while she is on tour in the UK, at Camden Underworld on 5th November. We've been big fans for a while so this is pretty big news for us... tickets are sale NOW, so you can grab them here, and brush up on your Jadu songs here.

AUGUST PHOTOBOX 

It includes our trip to France 🇫🇷, a drum recording with Anna in Kettering and some various arty snaps me and the gang have been taking.

Also here to view is my monthly vlog. This is probably my favourite Patreon reward going as it’s a showcase of what I’ve been up to, and it’s edited beautifully into a great little short movie by our in house film-person Matas.

WATCH VLOG 

It’s usually pretty funny and I’m excited for those of you who haven’t seen this before to get this. The content here is top-secret and will not be published, another reason why I love these little documentary style films as it's a real insight into what goes on "behind-the-feathers" as I like to call it ;) and a peek into actual, real life, (not instagram-filtered-perfectionism) which I love to share with you.

It's the gritty, long, (and sometimes dangerous!) creative process that most people don't see. I love that I can share that with you here.

At the end of the month will be another monster blog, including the rest of the “things” to you all. If all goes well it will be our next single/music video for 𝕴𝖑𝖑𝖚𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖆𝖙𝖊… just in time for Halloween season.

And finally... 

HANA PIRANHA KICKSTARTER

New Hana Piranha album you say? Most ambitious work to date? Why yes! It's called Wingspan and it's well underway. Hana has launched a Kickstarter to help raise the final bit of funding she needs to get this demon out. As you well know - Birdeatsbaby & Hana Piranha are kind of a dream-team that always work/play/party together so this album is very much close to all of us. We've watched it being conceptualised, written and created, and can tell you it's going to be a masterpiece. They’ve been pretty quiet online for a while but that is because they’ve been creating their Magnus Opus, and the band are back stronger than ever... I’ll also be doing some pianos/bvs myself on the record so I’m very very excited to hear the completed songs, I know you are going to love this.

If you can pledge on the Kickstarter it would mean the world to us as a musical family, I know many of you know and love Hana's music so this is a chance to help her out. I know times are difficult and you’re already supporting so even the smallest contribution makes a massive difference and if you can’t afford to give anything then just sharing the project will help it towards completion! Thank you.

I’m going to leave you with some rather fun news. As you can see from this picture… I no longer have orange hair…

For about 20 years I have been the annoying orange. It’s been my defining look for the band. I finally feel like maybe... I have outgrown it. 

I looked in the mirror over the last few months and I just don’t feel like that colour is right for me anymore.

Maybe because the band sound is changing again? 

Maybe it's because my official surname now is Grey? 

Maybe because I just feel a little bit older and I’d like to own that?

Or maybe, I am just becoming my new persona for HEX? 

One thing I know for sure is that I always seem to know when the time for change has come. I've learned over the years to follow my intuition and listen to my inner self. And my inner-self says "time for something new". 

Who I am to question that?

Lots of changes are coming, but I embrace them all.
