My dearest patrons,
This month was insane on so many levels... I don't really know where to start but firstly let me confess - the main "thing" is ready but the other remaining tiers will definitely be late.
The cover, the photobox and the handmade merchandise will trickle out later this week.
I'm sorry about this, it really couldn't be avoided - I've had more on my plate than I'm able to handle right now, but it is alllll good.
Let me fill you in.

Firstly. This month's feature "thing" is a very sexy (and slightly disturbing) music video from your favourite witch-hop-pagan-pop duo, HVIRESS.

Created by our resident video man, Scott Chalmers, and starring our rather buff (and very patient) manager, Simon Field. Find out why his new nickname is "Table" by watching the video. It's not public for a long time yet so please do keep it secret!
Thank you and enjoy...

So, as I mentioned this month was pretty intense - are you ready for this?
1. We finished recording HEX (the single) and sent off to Evan for mixing. This in my opinion is the best and most complex song on the album. Can't wait to share it with you.
2. Did our first HVIRESS collaboration song (with a mystery featured artist), it's called ORGAN GRINDER and may have a circus-carnival theme to it.
3. Completed the building work on the new Nest Studios room (see my vlog for more details). We now have a fully sound-proofed room ready for making records. Furnishing next and then we can open for business. Like our FB page here or follow us on IG here.
4. Played two full scale gigs with our new live Hex-themed stage show. We basically dress as dark nymphs and turn the stage into a witchy forest. Check out the vibe:

5. Hosted Feline & Strange (who I haven't seen since 2019!!!). We made a classical cover together (coming soon) as well as witnessed the first fold-up carry-on Roland piano, created by Christoph. Demo in my vlog. Feline & Strange have a lot of very cool releases coming out soon, and the best place to see everything is on their patreon here. Feline is writing a book, putting out music videos and so... much... more. If you love avant-garde and general weirdness then they are a great band to follow.
They also like ice-cream:

Anyway, things were all going very well, like clockwork, until out of nowhere our beloved Garry was violently assaulted at a local festival. In a completely unprovoked attack he had his nose broken, concussion and black eyes. It was a massive shock, Brighton is normally such a safe and peaceful place and the attack was in broad daylight.
Here we are at A&E getting him patched up the first time:

He is absolutely fine and making a great recovery but it was very touch-and-go whether we would do the May shows at all. He made it through (what a trooper) Swansea and Brighton before his nose was reset in a very painful procedure, but is thankfully straight again. We've decided to stop gigging/filming/rehearsing until he's completely recovered. He is currently high on codeine and playing vintage Zelda.
Thank you for all your lovely well-wishing comments on our recent posts, he is feeling very loved and supported by The Flock. 💝

Finally, I am thrilled to announce that the music video and single for Ribbons is coming out!
Tomorrow we launch the music video on YouTube, 8pm, UK time.
You have already seen the full version in last month's "thing", but if you would be so kind as to shout about it - it would make a massive difference to us. As an independent run band we really completely on The Flock to get our music heard.
The link to share tomorrow, anytime after 8pm is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ5RGG5mPS4
Thank you in advance, I will post a reminder in the FB group tomorrow evening, you guys make such a difference!
Here is a tasty gif to get us all excited ;)

Ok, that's all from me for now. As said, the other tiers will follow this week and will be well worth the wait I promise.
Thank you as always for your support.
With love & Feathers,
