THE RAGGED BREATH / BEST INTENTIONS

Greetings from a cold and frosty England!

We did it!

...I thought we were going to be way behind this month, but magically we seem to have got there with moments to spare. This makes me (a to-do list obsessed girl) very happy.

I'm currently listening to Igorrr and typing furiously as Garry bounces out the freshest mixes of these new songs., The Ragged Breath and Best Intentions, both Chemical Peril songs. 

I'm not going to lie - these are not the final versions of the songs by any means, I feel a lot more instrumentation is due and probably extra vocals from Jonny but they are as they are and you are the first people to hear this.

Both tracks are stories...

The Ragged Breath is about a group of unscrupulous men who have their own secret society. They make plans to rob a whole town of its money but then end up poisoning each other due to their own greed. It's a song about blackened hearts, corruption and evil men.

Best Intentions is an argument between two lovers. The guy is drunkenly rambling and babbling resentfully whilst in a bar somewhere. The woman is furiously waiting at home while ranting about his inadequacies. It's fun and not meant to be taken too seriously.

I really can't wait to gig these songs I think they're going to work great live.

Thank you again for supporting me (and The Chemical Perils) through this song-writing process. I think I have four more songs off this album and it's done.

After that we're going to be heading deep into Birdeatsbaby territory with the start of HEX. We have 4 drum tracks finished and we are starting to add the other layers...
