Behind-the-scenes on the 'Silence' video shoot

Mishkin here.

Just thought you might like to see a few pics and hear my thoughts on the music video we've made for 'Silence'. Some of you on the $5+ tiers have already viewed it now... we hope you like it :)

The basic lyrical concept of the song is that it's written from the point of view of an animal in a cage.

Those of you who know me, know I love animals. I think if I wasn't in a rock band, I'd be working on an animal sanctuary. That's actually my plan B, haha.

As a sensitive soul I found it really upsetting to see how much mistreatment of animals goes on, all the time, and because they can't speak our language or speak out for themselves, they can't defend themselves. The feathers in the song represent the millions of animals that are silent across the world and suffering. It's not a particularly easy video to watch, but I wanted to make a bit of a statement for this particular song as it's a subject that is close to my heart. I also think everyone knows what it's like to be trapped at one point or another, and having to stay silent. That's why the chorus is 'Silence is our master'.
