Image of severe radiation burns on Harry Daghlians hand
Added 2024-12-03 00:51:34 +0000 UTCThis was the image I had to censor on Youtube in my "Most Dangerous Radiation" video. Louis Slotin wasn't the only victim of the Demon Core. Months before Slotin had his fatal run in, Harry Daghlian was claimed by the core. Daghlian was setting up a similar criticality experiment when he dropped a tungsten brick onto the core. He picked it off the core immediately and exposed his has to a critical plutonium core for a second. The above photo is the resulting radiation burns he received just days later.
